| Quote: Jake the Peg "Let's hope the aussies don't target his wing next week if his positioning for the first NZ try is an indication of his defensive abilities. Solid enough other than that but hardly vintage wing play'"
He was in a damned if he did damned if he didn't situation. He was one on 3, if he'd have stayed on the wing the centre would have gone through the huge gap left by Bridge. If fox was to blame for the 1st then Briscoe was to blame for the 4 Autralian tries that came down his wing (which he wasn't).
Overall I thought fox looked a little nervy early on but once he got settled he lloked pretty good, took his tries well, took a very difficult high ball defensively and his only knock on came from being tackled before the ball got to him. Will be interesting to see how the team gets on as a whole at the weekend against a team that wont turn over the ball anything like as much as NZ did this week.

Not according to some of your more 'blinkered' fans on VT, he was poor as was Briscoe. Why doesn't it suprise me that the two who should be dropped are our players, everyone else was fine

Thought Briscoe (Tom) was a centre?
He really doesnt seem big enough to be a centre at all.

| Pretty pathetic when Reds fans use a performance for ENGLAND to say comments about the best winger in the city! (whoever he may be!)
Ive been very quite open about the fact i enjoyed seeing KR do so well (even praised you when you beet Hull and wished you the best of luck in the play-offs!) but it has to be said that some people on here are quite narrow minded and inflammatory!
To defend Tom Briscoe - he played about a 1/4 of a season, is still a very young lad, and in his performance was left out to dry by Lee Smith.
But of course all HKR fans see is a black and white player used as a scapegoat - and seize on that opporunity to ridicule the player - even though he's representing his country (and not the opposition!).
Lets see how the Fantastic Mr Fox gets on against Australia shall we!!!!!!!
I for one hope he makes 40 mins of right royal f**k ups - get subbed at half time, then shall merrily spend till the start of the new season posting about how badly the 'Fantastic' Mr Fox played, and how he let England down
Of course......if its takes 80 mins in an England shirt for you short sighted Reds to suddently claim he is 'Fantastic'........doesnt take much to impress you simpletons eh!
I could have scored both of those tries.......does that make me fantastic?

Does this qualify as a "bite"?
This whole Mr Fox thing is merely a response to the critisism stated on this very board following his poor showing v Wales. The Rovers fans have just reacted to defend their player from uninformed tripe spouting from FC fans.
We have been proclaiming him as "fantastic" for about 18 months now, so do try to keep up.

| Doesnt qualify as a bite at all.
And i do keep up thanks.
What I dont understand is that the majority of Hull fans dispose of their club loyalty when England/GB play!
What is it with you in-breds on 'that' side.......you see Red and White and are too stupid to decipher its not HKR but England? Are you genetically programmed to automatically assume that red and white equals HKR?
Oh - and having checked the board postings, it was also HKR fans laying into him. So why its suddenly lept into a cross city rivalry when there shouldnt be one, only goes to show the petty nature of HKR fans and their distinct lack of appreciation of the bigger picture!
It really does anger me when FC fans (like myself) can wish our city rivals the best of luck, yet it isnt reflected by some of the idiotic and quite frankly pathetic musings of some of your 'fans'.
Remember - youre fantastic Mr Fox was not in your kit.........he was wearing the cross of St George (he's the patron saint of England for those who left school at 14!)........so please refer to him in that context!

Cheers for that Hutch, how many games did he play at centre for you last season? (heard hes got the number3 shirt for 2010 so should see him perform well - and now Senior has gone, Briscoe/fox partnership for England for the next world cup is by betting.

Thanks for confirming my opinion of FC fans
Mybe you should look at this link & then come back and apologise to the majority of KR fans which supported T. Briscoe & not ridicule him or use him as a scapegoat.

Sorry, you lost all credibility with the highlighted statement. There are no worse fans in RL for putting club before country.
I remember attending an international at the KC (Ashes test v Aus) when the booing reached record levels due to FC fans singing Old Faithful during the game.
How disrespectful is that to your country?

They tried singing it but within seconds it was drowned out by the other England fans there as the not so bright were put in their place.
