FC's stupid wage structure has lead to their destruction and will continue to do so in the long term.
I suppose you'd have to say that they did have one player a few years back who provided outstanding value in terms of him receiving £70k for contributing to 83% of their tries but I think he left in the end...

Actually, it's quite ironic how a thread about us potentially signing Greame Horne is actually evolving into the raising of the key component of why Rovers finished 4th and FC finished 12th.
I only hope the usual FC suspects try not to derail the thread so they can actually start to learn why they are so poor. |

How is this derailing the thread? It's a direct response to you implying Mills may not be here any longer, and quoting what one of your mods said a while ago that backed that up, saying giving Mills a 2 year deal this time last year was a mistake that's been rectified. |

Bit harsh to blame G Horne for FC finishing 12th IMO. Let's face it, if FC had re-signed him, Rovers fans would be laughing at us and saying it was further evidence we're in terminal decline because he is the definition of average.  |

At FC, he was clearly inside the top-25 earners so it's not comparable.
The point I'm making is that your club's wage structure is why you are such a poor team and our wage structure is why we are such a good team.
e.g.
FC wouldn't offer Greame Horne 18k
Rovers wouldn't offer Berrigan 180k
