Did Kiel also face prosecution for knocking someone out cold (as he said in his HDM interview)

Lets hope ALL other clubs follow suit for the future. Yes that does include my own who should of done in the past
Im sure there is only a certain amount of hours per week that you can do CS though too, i think it may be 20. Maybe some of your fans can confirm this
I'm sure if you stand outside durty nellies you will shocked to find the number on CS in FC shirts, so why not ask them

| Quote: FLAG EDGE TOUCH "I guess it's how an individual defines "Community Service" - cleaning up chewing gum etc. is where you might see an immediate (albeit temporary) benefit, educating the young and impressionable may well have a longer lasting benefit to the community....that, however, is a point that can be debated forever and a day I guess...'"
My arguemtn on this is that Pro rugby players should have to do that educational bit as part of there job in the first place.

We're coming to make some noise!: |
|
| But the other argument is that cleaning chewing gum off the streets is a multi-million pound business, a guy from Hull has just won the contract to clean the streets of Warrington and Liverpool for a few million pounds so to have CS participants doing it would be taking jobs off people like myself that have been laid off and cant find work.
Ben has a job why give him another one that someone would be glad to be paid to do??
Sending Ben into schools/colleges/youth centres...etc to teach them of how close he came to losing his career and how awful prison really was can only be done by these types of people and not people like myself who've never experienced it and are not top sporting stars.

| Would they have taken the same action if one of your academy/u 21's had behaved in the same way? Doubt it very much.Rovers have punished him more than i expected but still not hard enough IMO.....and before you start ranting yes Raynor and all the others who have pushed themselves a step too far should have been shown the door at FC too.

So long as all players are given the same treatment I dont have a problem, Ben deserved jail, but he didn't get it and its not RL's place to start levelling sentencing up to appease public opinion. I would have expected FC, Wigan and the others to have banned their players for a period to show there disgust as well, but after any ban the offenders concerned have a right to earn a living and a right to be given a chance at redemption.
No exceptions based on first team, reserves or even GB status.

| I thought he’d probably be asked to resign but as someone has already said he’d only be snapped up by another club so I think the board have got the statement and further punishment about right.
He’s on thin ice with the law and the club and his reputation with the local public will take along time to repair if ever, lets move on...

[quote="Wellsy13":1juz9zgo]To us REAL fans, there's no better feeling than winning competitions. Getting to a final is next. Then a top 6 finish or semi-final appearance. Then I suppose the derby counts as the most important league fixture.
Us real fans don't look over our shoulder at our neighbours and do whatever we can to get one over on them. We look at the bigger picture. And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else.
Quite sad, really! [/quote:1juz9zgo]

| ...................................... same old same old?
all of these opinions were more or less expressed in the previous Cockayne thread
For me, very disappointed he did not go to jail for a bit
disappointed that HKR did not sack him, but can understand why they didn't.
closed subject for me now
