we are expected to be announcing a significant profit, wait for the figures
the pitch isnt our fault, we dont maintain it
I agree with the pride and passion part...but dont get carried away, so far youve played awful sides like Sheffield (who we got our record score against the other year), fetherstone and york acorn.
We are in a lull no-one can deny that, but its early days, who knows we might be having similar threads on your board if you loose to Widnes, Leigh, Whitehaven etc...its a long season ahead.'"

to be expected in the circumstances of this week and how we've been playing though...I can understand some not wanting to pay this week...as they were unsure what kind of performance we'd give (after the Saints performance was a discrase)
more perfromances like that will bring back the crowds, as it was a great game of RL to watch...which cant be said for our past 6months or so performances.
we also play Leeds once again in the summer...so it wont affect our average much (as obviously Leeds twice brings in more than Leigh twice)
so im not worried at all, we're almost out of the dip now..new coach, new beginning.

| Quote: dave m "I can see a massive shift in power very soon.
with Hull fc gates getting smaller HKRs getting bigger
a new super stadium going to happen in east hull.
Rovers on the up
Hull fc going further down the league 7th at the moment.
And with the financial situation Hull in the red (figures to be released soon)
Rovers with money to spend.
The whole squad at rovers playing as a team and enjoying there rugby
Hull fc with in fighting john kerr to be sacked sooner rather than later
players not wanting to play.
things certainly look more rosy at craven park.
who knows hull may get relegated this season and rovers may go up.
Hull fc playing with no heart or passion getting stuffed at home.
Rovers playing with flair and pride.
Rovers having one of the very best playing surfaces in rugby league.
YOU ARE DREAMING OH MY LORD.
AS I HAVE SAID IN A DIFFERENT THREAD, I WISH ROVERS ALL THE BEST, AND AS AN FC FAN, WOULD LOVE NOTHING MORE THAN TO RE-IGNITE THE DERBY GAMES.
LETS BE HONEST, IT WONT HAPPEN, AND EVEN IF IT DID, ROVERS WOULD GET THUMPED WEEK IN WEEK OUT, JUST LIKE THE PREVIOUSLY ELECTED CHUMPS HAVE DONE. WITH THE PI$$ POOR ATTENDANCES AND SHOCKING GROUND, ROVERS CAN'T SERIOUSLY BELIEVE THAT THEY CAN COMPETE WITH THE MIGHTY BLACK & WHITES ANYTIME SOON!!!!!
YOU WILL RESPOND BY SAYING ''WELL AT LEAST THE GROUNDS OURS'' AND ALL THAT RUBBISH, ALL I CAN SAY IS *CHANGE THE RECORD*, THATS NEARLY AS BORING AS CALLING US GATES-HULL-THUNDER-SHARKS, OR SAYING WE NEVER GOT PROMOTED, WHICH WE DID IN 1997, WHEN WE BEAT HUDDERSFIELD IN THE FINAL ((UP WHERE WE BELONG VIDEO PROVES IT!))
YOU CANT EVEN SAY ABOUT OUT POOR FORM THIS SEASON, BECAUSE THAT WAS BLATANT PLAYER POWER, AND THE LEEDS GAME PROVES IT. ALTHOUGH WE LOST, THE COMMITMENT AND EFFORT WAS THERE. WE COULDVE WON, AND NEARLY DID, BUT JUST LOST TO THE 2ND BEST TEAM IN THE COUNTRY, A TEAM THAT IS USED TO WINNING WEEK IN, WEEK OUT. THE FACT IS, THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN!
ROVERS FANS, YOU DONT HAVE A LEG TO STAND ON WHEN IT COMES TO BRAGGING RIGHTS, OR ATTEMPTS TO WIND UP B&W FANS.
SO GIVE IT A REST.
HERE'S TO LIFE IN SUPER LEAGUE!
Hull fc having a shared cabbage patch to play on.
I rest my case

And your a fool.
Salford and Huddersfield have both been in our league in recent years and are both now and will probably finish above the krap at the KC at the end of this season
Cas have just been promoted and have the same number of points as you.
In which final did you beat Huddersfield in 1997 because the record books show they beat you in the Premiership final at the end of that season ???
Oh and you gave Leeds a game.
A team which played the 2nd half with no bench due to injuries.
Keep em coming it reminds me how stupid some of you are.

| What a stupid thread. The gulf between the clubs is so enormous that a slight shift either way doesn't mean a damn thing. Maybe when you get in super league it might be worth discussing.

Not this year it won't. I've always said Cooke will transfer to Hull KR eventually, I think thats pretty much common knowledge, however it won't be in 2007 and its very, very unlikely to be in 2008 either.

I have to say that Dave m's inside information about the comings and goings at both Rovers and FC is mightily impressive.

jesus your team is playing crap.
your club is losing money week in week out,
your fans are fewer.
the KC pitch is a disgrace and if you don't win games very soon you will be relegated.
you carry on mate thinking the same way because you're in for one massive shock very soon.
how is Plummer & Kath?
still in the money are they?
still bank rolling the club

| Hull won't get relegated this year Dave. There is just about enough latent talent in the Hull FC players for them to avoid relegation playing on autopilot so i'm sure they won't be down there.
That being said I can't see Hull challenging for titles this year and I can see a very large change of playing staff for next season at the KC.

i dont think anyone expected we would...we are several players short of a SL title bid.
this years now going to be a transitional one..and im hoping the new coach clears out the deadwood and gets us in a great position for 2007. Id be happy just with a playoff spot for this year (only for the extra money to buy players with really)

King becuase he hasnt improved for over a year, and his off the feild 'behaviour' is well discussed.
id also say that Lupton should go, becuase he isnt used...not a bad player..but a waste of 20/20 if we arnt going to play him
again Motu Tony is a good player, but if we are going to waste his career playing him in any position, theres no point him being here.
Higgins is young, but when asked to play SL hasnt impressed
Blacklocks retiring anyway
Carvell might want to leave aparantly, but personally id try and get him to stay.
Then with the rest it mainly depends on who we can bring in to replace them, theres several 'average' players that are ok, but if we could attract some top class id release. Our main priority has to be a top class half-back, and i would release several to make that happen. We also need a winger or two.

And what does that make you then? The fact is the balance of power has not shifted at all.For as bad as things have been over the last few weeks,it's still a far better situation that what's at Caravan Park. You still support an inferior rugby team in an inferior stadium. You're still in a league that most super league supporters don't take an interest in. They regard the team who comes up as 4 or 6pts a season.I only take a look at your results to see if you've lost. You're not in superleague end of! You've no guarantees of getting there this season, even though, this is probably the best team you've had for achieving it.
If franchising does come in as is expected before you've achieved promotion. you're definitely up the creek without a paddle. And the theory most likely, if franchising does come in and you have been promoted beforehand, is you will be discarded then.
The only superleague team in crisis at the moment is Wigan, who have serious problems.
The simple fact is you're still in the little leagues looking up enviously at the big boys. Jog on
