| To be honest saints looked poor but you can't blame not having Walsh in the team as they managed ok against Wigan without him for a lot of the game but however poor they looked there still top of the league

I think it's a reflection of the declining state of the game currently. I haven't seen any team this season that I've thought was that great TBH

| Saints will look either fantastic this season or absolutely dire. I'm still of the belief we have one of, if not the best squads in Super League (and you can do your well they dont look good if you take out <insert 6 players> - its a compliment, people used to do that for our teams in the early 2000's) - the problem is the players attitude is absolutely stinks - if we dont have a point to prove and or anything to gain, they will simply not bother, infuriating to say the least from a fans perspective. Even without walsh if the players turned up with the right attitude the game could of been very different indeed (not taking anything away from rovers win which was 100% deserved).
I will will bite slightly Jake - so wigan and leeds target games to win and dont care about losing others but saints dont do that? Would beating wigan and castleford not be targetting games?
Congratulations on your win, you truly are our bogey team, but were still doing better against you than we did last year

I'm not a rovers fan. I'm sure leeds and wigan would love to win every week but practically speaking no team is likely to so they know they will lose games as the season progresses. You can't really argue with how they go about things as they've won the last 7 SL titles between them.
sainst definitely have one of the better squads in SL but you don't have enough quality in the outside backs or the back row for me and that's why I can't see you winning it

Who did you play for squire?
Not having a go, just interested, I'll understand if you don't want to say. A lot of us value our anonymity for all sorts of reasons.

| That's actually almost true - remember going to the field opposite (roughly where Soccer Sensations is now) to watch an open trial that Rovers held around '95, how times have changed eh.

Ooh, I hope so, I sponsored his socks one year, cost about four queens, I thought it was for only one match but it was for the entire season!
Must have looked after them well.

1. the fact that Saints players were not bothered about winning
2. the structure of SL was to blame
No mention of us beating then soundly, only that if Saints had really wanted to they would have hammered us.'"
You beat us soundly.
And it's not about not being bothered, Saints fans are concerned that a handful of players are not turning up with the right attitude and are not fully committed. In the last 11 games we've won 5, lost 6. In those defeats we've been turned over far too easily. They won't nail biting last minute defeats, they were tonkings.
You didn't win cos of the structure of SL. We were just saying that the standard overall in SL is not as strong as say 10 years ago. Saints, Wigan, Leeds...everyone.
Well done on thumping us. Good luck for the rest of the season.

| 1st post from me ....big rovers fan. Sandercock seemed to be a good guy with the best interests of rovers at heart. The players all seemed to speak highly of him. The problem was he seemed unable to motivate his players and even worse could not come up with a defensive system that work. On sunday we had a highly motivated team who conceded 10 points to saints. Lets hope it continues
