| It's good to send the likes of Jordan out to these lower SL clubs to get a bit of match fitness.

| Bizarre move unless he's either on his way out and / or someone is coming the other way.

| Hmmmmmm? ... This is the Huddersfield Giants we're talking about? Is he even gonna' get game time? (if this is purely a fitness deal etc).
As we are (a bit light) this makes no sense, unless of course it's better to ship him out the building ... Bailey etc or even remotely tied to the Lunt agreement somehow.
Still, can't question the clubs' recent dealings!

| Seems odd. Maybe a few of our forwards have niggly injurys and him coming over here can give them extra recovery time to refresh for the rest of season. Either that or its a try before you buy.

Perhaps Halifax don't need any extra forwards at the moment. We can't pick their squad for them that isn't how DR was intended to be used

| Dale Ferguson, Luke George, Jason Chan, Shaun Lunt - the Giants have been very generous in loaning players out to us and now they wanted one the other way. I think Rovers felt they ought to agree.

Good call. Our relationship with the Giants is very good these days. I wonder if they fancy a fox mascot for a month?

| Chessy said he still has a future at the club, but you can see that Cox is very different to the players we have signed in his position. This year our second row comprises tackle machines with good engines and it seems to really be helping the defence. I also found it telling that Chester didn't see him as an option at prop with our recent difficulties - I did hear he was injured, so I may just be reading too much into that.
In my opinion he has/had real promise and if he wants to build on this he either needs to bulk up so that he can be classed as an impact second row/prop, or improve his fitness so that he can play bigger minutes - at the minute he is halfway between which doesn't suit our current tactics - although it may suit another clubs.

I think the point of his not having a clearly defined best position is right. I think he was seen initially as a big marauding second rower - maybe roughly in the mould of a Gareth Hock, Cory Paterson or Ali lauititi. But he hasn't managed, yet, to justify a regular place fulfilling that role. It's a bit of a luxury role, and Paterson apart, we've generally gone with smaller backrowers with bigger engines.
he's not quite a natural prop yet either though. My gut feeling, which I know some people think stupid, as they want to see him knocking over fringe defenders, is that prop is where he will end up. I suspect he'll always be a bit of an unorthodox prop, and he's now fallen behind (the older) James Green, so perhaps this loan deal will help clarify how to get the best from him.

| Whether its Halifax Newcastle or Huddersfield I wouldnt like this move. We are light in the pack at the moment so you would think it the perfect opportunity to get some game time with us. I like Ollett but surely Cox should be further up the pecking order based on what they've done so far. As always it could be down to reasons we arent aware of behind the scenes or whatever, I just hope he gets some game time and comes back into our squad match fit. Doesnt feel like thats going to be the case though.

| Yeah, something else going on here.
I thought Cox really pushed on and started to fulfill his potential at the back end of last year. He seems to be as thick as a thicket of thick things but he's undoubtedly a talented rugby league player.
I can't see what the boy's from Arena 84 are getting out of this, if he's a problem to us why take him? They're not exactly lacking in the forwards, and they're not a club that seem to forgive or look to promote idiocy.
There's something rotten in the state of Denmark here.

| I think that Rovers are unsure at how Cox would progress as a young forward and a player who has been riddled with injuries ......I think they have loaned him out to see how he fairs within the SL ......Our light forward pack are holding their own at the minute, so loaning Cox out to a SL club as opposed to a championship club to see how he fairs over the next month seems like a smart move to me.

| There's obviously more to this Huddersfield aren't going to take our players to get them fit for us and if he can't get in the side when we have only two fit props he never will I think it's to do with the Lunt deal
