My guess is that Sky selects several prospective games pre season and schedule them in case they want to televise them. Later in the season they change their mind or decide which of the two games on friday to show based on the interest in the game or variety of games shown so far.

Moving a game causes more disruption rather than scheduling a couple to choose from and deciding which to televise later.

They're 2nd on merit & were impressive at Etihad though. Looks like Wigan will field a weakened team at Widnes so it'll be a chance for them to close the gap to one point. We won't get away with a scratchy performance this time.

Easier said than done - or do you think noone has thought of that before?

Lunt Robbo grix and brough are working brilliantly together. Our left hand side of wardle and ferres have been good in attack and defence- but if you try out right you will run into the brick wall of lawrence and cudjoe.
Your hope is to hit our forwards and offload whenever possible. Weakest spot defensively is McGilvray!
You will note that our "purple patches" were early on then we took off our entire first choice pack which allowed saints to get back in the game- we were saving ourselves for KR.

I'm pretty sure that the game is been covered by radio Humberside fm, not sure about other stations.

Same team as last week or maybe Nev in for Beaumont as he's not been making the yards he was a few weeks ago and Nev is better defensively.

I'm prepared to cut Beaumont some slack on last week's performance, coming back from that virus he had. I see Nev as a stop gap, to be used when necessary. Beaumont represents the future and should be given every opportunity to get a new deal (IMO of course). I'd also like to see the same policy towards Withers/Carlile - but that doesn't look like happening any time soon.

Same team for me. If the forecast is to be believed then it looks like it should be pretty good conditions. Think we may have to chance our arm a bit to get anything from the game, but that doesn't mean stupid offloads within our own 30m (Mika take note). We certainly need to be more switched on than last week, but none the less I've got a strange bit of optimism ahead of this game for some reason. Don't really think we will win, but I'm keen to see how we go against one of the better teams and then to see if we can lift our game and possibly sustain it.

I don't see Beaumont as the future he's 25 and makes as many yards as netherton but is not as good in defence

Why not go in the East, West Stand or the well.
No wonder Huddersfield struggle to get 5,000

It will be the first game i have missed at HKR in years ( and the kids wont be going to the Deep either) if i felt more comfortable going with the kids aged 5 and 9 in one of the other stands i probably would!!

I don't like talking up our cross city neighbours but was in the West Stand last year with a few other black and whites including kids and while Rovers were out classed on the pitch there was no nastiness in the stand, definitely a better option than Zeebrugge.

Tempted to visit myself on Friday as cant make the FC French jolly
