On CS's record this year, I don't think 6 wins and 8 defeats (with a cup win against sl opposition) is [ithat[/i bad with the resources available to him and the remit given him. However, where Morgan's victories seemed to be more memorable, CS's teams have had an unfortunate habit of losing in ways that are hard to forget. If we lose at home against Wakefield, it does start to drift towards desultory though. Given the pretty downbeat background he is working against, I suppose it is natural people start looking for change - including CS himself, with all the uncertainty.
Who'd come in? Depends entirely on the new owners and their level of ambition.

| I do not think he will get the boot until your future is decided the last thing you need when trying to sell the club is a team with no coach and lets face it who is available?
Also meant to say you cannot get a new coach in that the new owners might not want so your definately stuck until new owners are found.

It's still a penalty.

'when my life is over, the thing which will have given me greatest pride is that I was first to plunge into the sea, swimming freely underwater without any connection to the terrestrial world'

Why in rugby league is everything doomsday?! Something is always killing the game or it's dying!
Most fans don't know the rules. That's why they think the ref is to blame for everything!'"
Most fans may not know all the rules of the game, but most of us know that gripping a player around the face and pulling his head back in the tackle is called a grapple tackle and when it goes on regularly without being punished for one side and then immediately gets punished for the other, we have a right to question
a) their competency
b) their impartiality
Same goes with offsides, I would love for a ref to explain why two players in front of him are first one in the tackle (offside) almost every play the ball, but the other side get pulled up for an offside to the left of him, when the play goes the opposite way and there is clearly no way that play could be affected.
I refer to a & b above.

You are allowed to question his competency and his impartiality even if the game is refereed perfectly. That doesn't mean you should!
Too many fans watch the game with rose-tinted specs on. If anyone thinks a professional referee in this day and age (with all the media coverage) is biased then they really need to question why they bother trying to get enjoyment out of the sport.
Referees make mistakes. As do players. But I'd say the VAST majority of "wrong decisions" perceived by fans is down to either a lack of understanding of the rules or complete ignorance of the offences their own team are getting away with and sole focus on the opposition's indiscretions.
Referee's don't pull everything, and too right! It'd be too stop start. I'd rather watch a good flowing game with as few penalties as possible than a pedantic whistle-blower. Trouble is, whilst most fans would agree with a good flowing game, they still want the opposition pulled for everything!

This is not aimed at you as almost all fans are the same but i would like to bet you have never thought a referee has not been impartial after you have won a game,we just remember his bad calls more after a defeat.

I would want the refs to pull up every offence players will soon get the message, what rankles with me is that they seem to randomly pick which rule to apply, we are obssesed with speeding the game up, Why are they penalising a hand on the ball in the ruck but hardly ever for not playing the ball correctly? they penalise the slightest touch of the head yet never offside on the goal line, hardly ever see a forward pass but a ball droped is nearly always a knock on even if it never travels forward. We even had a ref not penalising a foul when a player was high tackled when scoring (8 point try) yet anywhere else on the pitch it would have been a penalty. Who is telling refs to ignore certain rules?
