His statement is to keep pressure on Hull CC re North stand support I'm sure. Our financial model has been, up to now, built on knowing we have a rich backer, however we know that might not last hence the investment in the ground to create a fully sustainable model without having to sit at the bottom of the table every year.
I also wonder if this is just selective quotes from his online session last week?

It is obvious you don't know Hudge then.... would take him anytime over your man-woman uncle Kath... cos when the time comes - perhaps on a new moon - you wont see her for dust and with her directors loan clutching her man bag 
The assassination of Rovers by FC fans is hysterical and represents the clearest indication that the suffer from the little know Stool Syndrome - this is where one has been the king pin for years and yet can't adjust to being second raters now!
