The Thaler complaint goes back years, it's not just from yesterday.

He's terrible at his job and he's a smug tw@ with it.

Quote: CHURCHILL "Huddersfield deserved the win, yes they used certain tactics to their advantage but who can blame them, they used their heads, we didn't, we lost.

Simple as.'"

Absolutely. I said to many before the game I thought we'd get beat. After a hard derby probably the 3 teams you would want to avoid would be Saints, Hudds and Catalans as a) they are the form teams and b) they are big and very physical, the last thing you would want to meet and would need to be fully fresh and on top form to deal with. After Friday I knew we would be far from it. Clearly Celtic took a lot less out their tank as expected and they also rested a few key players I understand. Their bench was much stronger than ours and it was a surprise to me that ours was so lightweight in comparison. Not sure why Macca, Watts and Mrs Mills weren't used although the latter possibly for more obvious reasons. If we still have any room under the salary cap I think now is the time to use it with the current injuries as we don't seem to have the strength in depth Hudders had.

As for Thaler, a complete joke and Morgan is right to give him stick. If Hull read his words fully and correctly rather than being selective he wasn't just blaming him for the defeat and admitted they were the better side but was very unhappy with many decisions. Just like many Hull fans did after the Salford game! To be fair he did also miss a forward pass from Cookey in the first half that was probably the most forward in the whole game, but they had too many to count!

I wouldn't read too much into the result or the performance against Hudds to be honest. There are so many variables that made it an extraordinary game.

Quote: Gahan "Try watching a neutral game and see how many times a team steals a few extra seconds and then come back and tell me every team doesnt do it

How one eyed can you get
How one eyed can we get? Seems quite odd you saying that as Brian Noble already picked up on this earlier on in the year and had the balls to mention it was down to Browns coaching techniques.

Rovers looked very tired yesterday after the short turnaround against Hull which took a lot out of them. Hudds were the better side, but looking at it, 2 sloppy tries from kicks in the first half, the runaway try at the end was a bit of a freak and won't happen often. With a shocking performance by Thaler (even by his dower standards), I'd say it wouldn't even be worth reading into too much as a far as positives/negatives go.

Quote: Gavin Miller - Legend "As you didnt watch the game i fail to see how your entitled to that opinion.'"

I didn't need to see the game in order to be able to compare comments regarding complaints about the officials with the sudden slew of complaints on this and other threads.

Specifically, I can easily compare Morgan's outburst with his comments following Ganson's wretched display at MM last season.

Thaler may very well have had a poor game, it's the sudden change in policy that I find amusing. icon_smile.gif

Quote: His Bobness "Huddersfield are going to become a problem for Super League the way things are going.

They seem to have a coach who wants to introduce wrestling techniques and spoiling tactics. Or anything else on the borderline of legality that might give his side an edge.

That's very good for Huddersfield but very bad for Super League as a spectacle.

I do believe that last season they wouldn't have got away with half of it. But the stats show that refs are awarding only half the penalties this year than last. Great news for the spoilers.

Sooner or later if this is not stopped every team will follow suit. For the good of Super League as a whole the RFL must instruct referees to clamp down.'"

and same goes for your coach im afraid

anyway seems most of you are pretty realistic and understand that your team were beaten by a bigger, better, more skilful and more powerful side

i thought the referee was fine, considering the east stand screamed and wailed for everything at every tackle and every play the ball he could have let that affect him and played to the crowd,as it was he did ok but to be fair i couldnt see regarding the offsides and forward passes so cant comment,
what i do know is that we are a very physical side who wont be bullied like we have been in the past, and as you guys saw we can also play some very good rugby league , penalty count was 5-5 i beleive with only one referal to the disciplinary this week...chev walker..so i guess there was no foul play or anythnig bordering on illegal

Seems like
1 there was no chicken wing tackle by a Huddersfield player which led to Lovegroves injury

2 Nothing wrong with Huddersfield tackling technique

3 No high tackles by huddersfield players

RFL have reviewed everything and found Andy raleigh guilty of raising his knee in a tackle for which he recieves a formal warning.

What a dirty get. icon_eek.gif

However

Nick Fozzard is to get a caution for raising his knee in the 7th, 12th and 51st minute

Jake Webster is warned about dropping his knees on an opponent in the 67th minute ( for which HKR got a penalty when griffin took exception) and treading on an opponent in the 79th minute.

details

www.therfl.co.uk/about/disciplin ... php?id=920

Looks like Nathan Brown needs to get some coaching tips off Justine Morgan on how to injure players on the ground and trying to injure players when they are going into the tackle.

Andy had no charge to answer ...the letter is just what sanction could be applied if found guilty (similarly Fozzard)
