GML compared him to Inglis, you to Meninga.
That Nathan Brown must be hell of a coach

| Quote: barton baird "How many times did you see Horne play for F.C.?
To be fair I always thought he had a steady game for us.Just my opinion of course, others may not agree.'"
I did see him a few times actualy as some of my best buddies are Hull fans(unfortunately but never mind) and if Rovers wern't playing on the same day i would quite often go to watch Hull with them just for the day out, likewise they would often come to Rovers with me if Hull wernt playing, so there you go.
Im not saying Horne was a bad player at Hull, in fact he did have some very good games as i remember, i just think he looks a better all round player now than what he did then, i guess i will be able to make a better assessment of him over the next twelve months.

How can you say he is a better player now, though?
He hasnt made the Hudds team for 40% (approx) of their games this season and I think he was dropped for a fair portion of last season too. He's seldom played when Huddersfiled have been on SKY so it's really hard to make that judgement unless you've seen him on a regular basis.
I'm sure he is better player now as he's been working under a vastly superior coach and he's amongst a stronger team, and he was a good player to start with, but to say he's better now is speculative.

Horne was always capable of good performances - he just had far too many poor ones mixed in. The biggest improvement IMO since he moved to Hudds has been in consistency. If you like, his peak performance level hasn't increased but he plays there or thereabouts the majority of the time with far fewer poor performances thrown in. Definitely a good squad signing.

| I think horne is a decent player and would be OK if picked in one position and played there consistently. He was messed around far too much at Hull and it doesn't look like things have been much better at hudds. I'd much rather have him in my team than murrell

I would like Clinton to stay personally..

| Quote: Old_Faithful_IAKW "Now GH's signing is official, I'm interested as to where you feel he'll fit in? He's recently played at centre, a position many Giants fans feel is his best, but he won't be starting centre for Hull KR will he? Infact, I'd suggest Hall, Welham and Webster would all be ahead of him.
His second most recognised position is second row - but if Matt Cook, one of your best players IMO, can't force his way into the team, I doubt Horne can. If Newton/Cook are leaving then perhaps he will fit in here?
I know you'll suggest that he's just coming in as back up, but I'm not sure he is. Why would he leave Huddersfield, where he was a utility back up player, to come to a side half as good? (Only reason would be to move closer to home)'"
Horne was staying at giants until celtic pulled plug and there players came off quota ,chans going to the giants Hornes deal was pulled simple ,hes a cast off and thats from a player

Chan had already decided that he wasn't going to stay at the Crusaders long before the owners pulled the plug.
