Not if you check the Hull side that played that day
Whichever way you look at it Rovers were pretty much full strength on Saturday and Hull were not by a long, long way.

| Quote: BringBackRugbyLeagueBiff "The comments on here about Newton would probably fit perfectly for Ben Galea. Am I missing something here?
Newton has been strolling round the park??? So what about that ankle tap he did after Webster got the runaround? What about the offload that created the opening for Webster for him to throw the ball in touch (although, Colbon had over-run it slightly)
Newton took the ball up solidly all night and only made one major error (the offload which Hull snapped up) and, like I've said, a Hull Fc hand was in there too.
Ben Galea?? He looked like a Man of Steel, now he looks like an average Aussie. He was 'terrible', and looks like he's playing silly bugg ers regarding the contract. Some of the knock-ons he made were ridiculous, that knock-on from Cooke's perfect pass was unbelievable - it was on a plate.
Newton has been awesome all year, I cannot believe the criticism levelled at him from here.
It was Clint who got the runaround so he was making up for his own mistake.

so if hull had been full strength with Hall not playing, moa not playing, whiting out of the squad, who were 3 of your best players then you'd have been better...good call.
The injury excuse is getting so tedious, after 24 months of it you must realise its not unfortunate it's poor conditioning, training techniques etc..
I'll guarantee by week 3 of next year it'll be the same old excuses again. Get players training properly and looking after themselves and they might stay fit.

| Quote: Gordon Gekko "Terrible is probably the wrong word in all fairness. I thought he was totally ineffective. He dropped off a lot of tackles and the ankle tap you highlighted was down to a poor effort on Berrigan in the first place. The ball he lost was not stripped it was clearly a loose carry, he also spilled the ball close to the Hull line in the first half on the 3rd tackle and he was fortunate to get a penalty when clearly losing the ball in a one on one steal with Burnett.
The guy looks jaded as does Galea. GML stated he is carrying an injury so with Walker and Netherton fit there is no real need for them to play 80 mins every week.'"
Usually agree with a lot of what you say but, Craig Hall clearly punches the ball downwards.

Would be in my first choice 17 anyways.

Yeah ok then. Please enlighten me as to just what they are doing wrong.

I disagree, though it was a 50-50 call no doubt. I thought Clint at one point was trying to get the ball free for an offload and was not fully in control and Hall dislodged it in the tackle.
It was a tough call to make granted, but i think Silverwood got it right on this occasion.

Considering how many times the ball was "dislodged in the tackle" against us and it was given as a knock-on I dont really think Rovers can complain about that one.

This is where the Hull fans view of injuries falls flat, you'll quote Yeaman, washbrook and Briscoe as major losses and out injured then state they wouldn't get in the team anyway. I've even seen your lot claiming Thorman as one of the players missing.
So realistically how many of your starting 17 are injured...
