I thought the red towers where supposed to have the floodlights on them?

So the plans suggested. The stand was also supposed to have red cladding of course, but things change it seems.

I think it has been suggested that what were widely regarded as plans, were just artists impressions and the floodlights weren't necessarily meant to go on them in the first place.

Irrespective, their purpose is just to look ACE! I guess.

The cladding was never going to be red.
The colour of the cladding was a swatch sample that was submitted for planning purposes.
Trouble is, whoever ordered the cladding went by the sample submitted for planning.
Not sure why it was not discussed at any project meetings and signed off.
Phil Webbo will probably be able to expand on the above.

I agree with Easty why not follow the west stand scheme with mostly red seats and white seats for the 'HKR', can see no point in having it any other way, if this has been signed off by the club, think they have made a mistake. White will show dirt and scratches easier, maybe won't see it from a distance but close up possibly, meaning more maintenance, replacement, mostly red would be more practical.
But at the end of the day I really appreciate what Neil and Rob and all the other directors have achieved over these last 9 years or so, they have put their money where their mouth's are and nobody can knock them, the minor details are outweighed by the fact we have this stand at all and they've improved the club both on and off the field beyond what we ever expected in the national league and this stand regardless of colour scheme has happened because of them.

Think the overall point being, the plans online bear little resemblence to the actual build.
The exterior apparently should be red brick

What do you expect from a council run project?
Personally I think red fades and can look quit shabby
