Aye, something the SMC have never been good at. A way to justify their future neglect of their obligations to the people of Hull in bringing major sporting and non-sporting events to the city?
Last concert The Who May 2007, Duffen arrives one month later, no coindidence, he simply died away what Pearson had started to trail off.
This is NOT Hull City's stadium, but the more people relax and ignore, the more Hull the City is losing it

If he's accountable to the council on the basis of effectively being caretaker of their asset maybe we should all write eloquent letters to the council chairman. I and I suspect many others do feel insulted by Duffen's sweeping generalisation. I feel that some compensation may be in order. Does anyone know a personal injury lawyer?

I couldn't believe some of the phone calls to Humberside. You need to lighten up FFS. It was a flippant throw away remark which maybe on reflection he should not have made. One guy said "there are 25000 RL supporters in this City" which makes me think that Maths is probably not the strong point never mind letter writing!

I hardly call it a "personal attack" but if that's what you think then that's uptp you. One thing for sure though...it's true!!! If you're not bothered about your board not having a say then shut up and leave it to a proper chairman!

You have contradicted yourself Vince.
The examples of Glenn Hoddle and Gerald Ratner making flippant remarks in the recent past should show anyone with an ounce of intelligence that if you are going to be broadcast on live radio you have to be careful what you say.
Whichever way you want to look at it, he has denied the people of Hull an international event.

Which is why I said "on reflection". What Duffen didn't know was how sensitive RL supporters can be! Let's face the facts here. He is chairman of a club which is in the greatest sporting league in the world and his thoughts will be on staying in it next season. The rewards are in the strasophere and he can be forgiven if in the middle of this he is asked if he can put a game on next season which may bring another of his business interests about £25k. I know where my priorities would lie. Why didn't the RL ask for the game to be on a Sunday or Friday night like all other fixtures?

| In todays HDM Duffen gives us the real reason being that he told the RL he could NOT ask the FL if he could have an away game on the date requested until March which is Sunday. If, for whatever reason they took that as a refusal that is upto them but he does point out that City will be playing a lot of consecutive away games to accomodate Hull SL's fixtures during the Fair.
I think you should all apologise!

At this moment in time there are NO fixtures scheduled to be played at the KC on any of the weekends the RFL requested. It is complete nonsense to suggest that nothing could be fixed up for the GB game. Let the FL or PL work around the RL fixture not the other way round.
Hull only have one home fixture in August and one in September, granted they may make the play-offs but they will probably not have more than one home game if any.
Its all a load of bollox from Duffen and like SB said .... Wigan??

I have booked to see her in Rotterdam in December as couldnt get decent priced tickets in the UK
I agree with the acts being poor, Killers would be awesome, even take that i think could get 20k
The SMC are not looking big enough in regards to the acts they get
