I was asking from which angle is he responsible if held to be so by them, and pointing out that only one of the three possibilities would hold true for him taking the blame. That's why I said

My point is that others may be of the opinion that even though MW (I'm sick of typing his name) hasn't intentionally wrongly dropped SM (Ditto) in it (If MW is wrong) he has unintentionally dropped him in it so he is still somehow partially responsible due to him going with the story.

Folks being responsible (Again I dont think he is) doesn't have to mean they meant or intended it.

You would have to assume that MW had been told the above by someone that he trusts knows their stuff on this. Such someone would have to be from Hull KR/FC or player/player's representatives. It be careless from him/RH if there wasn't a creditable source telling him this. The potential upset this story could/has created, would certainly have to be weighed up from RH side.

For clarity if the news was true, you would have to doubt it would come from within anyone at Rovers. The same would probably apply to anyone in the McDee camp, given the furore it seems to have created. FC don't really lose out either way. Again, if it was true the denials from all parties involved could suggest that this was (and is) to be kept quiet. If there was an agreement along those lines, all concerned should've tried to at least keep one of the two local media outlets quiet. Either way, I doubt anyone from HKR is particular happy with RH whether this is true or not.

All ifs and buts really innit. It looks highly likely that he's got a future @ Rovers beyond this season, despite some posters claims. The only certainty is we gave McD permission to speak to other clubs and he'd be foolish not to look at all options. We'll see.

Also, if he does actually return to Aus. The poster who confirmed this when he rejected an 18month phone contract because he was always going home - was bang on the money.
