If FC sign him an a 1 year with an extension clause it's a win- win for them, and good luck to them. He did let Rovers down, and that was well before his trip home. Kelly was played as a playmaker because of crampeasys injury problems and was very ineffective at scrum half his strength is his running game, not playmaker, scored 2 interceptions last year against saints on sky and people thought he was a worldbeater a running stand off is Kellys game injury prone, a big hitter in defence but does miss a few tackles through flying in not worth his big salary a club with rovers finances needed a bit more value

Big risk by us if true but one worth a go IMO . no doubting his ability but needs to really change his attitude which can be done ( very rarely tbh but can be done)

It's one of those signings that could be a master stroke or a disaster I suppose everybody thinks they can change him I doubt they can but who knows

But you said we could finish as low as 10th. You said we'd be in a dog fight. You said Watts' very good form from 2015 wouldn't last and you said Taylor had "chucked" his international chances. That's pretty hopeless predicting. Not the same thing as criticising a coach.

If you can spring Kelly 40 yards out at full tilt it's try time. Do FC have anyone who can do this? I don't think so. Paul Cooke was the last player that they had who could do this regularly. Sneyd certainly can't do it. Is there anyone in the forwards who can break the line and then provide a killer pass? Probably not; at least not consistently. Maybe Houghton when he scoots from acting half could pick him out but no-one else in my opinion. Would I sign him? Probably; but I wouldn't want to be using up a large chunk of salary cap.

Well let's put things in context for you....I'll do it slowly so you understand.

When Taylor left Wigan.....He did 'Chuck' his international chances. He'd had a good season at Wigan and won a title. He was being touted for international honours and......hit the buffet and ended up at Salford......somewhat affecting his international chances at that time....

Watts went well last year. Maybe Westerman leaving and having kids helped but we'll see he could upset the apple cart yet. He thinks he's Wally Lewis and that may rub some people up the wrong way eventually.

You could have finished 10th. You never had one long term significant injury....a miracle in the modern game. Lose Ellis, Sneyd, Houghton, Shaul, Fanua etc for long periods together and you might have finished 10th.

Criticising a coach...ok. This involves some ability to predict that what the coach is trying to implement maybe successful in the long term......you failed.....miserably.

I stick by what I've said about Kelly. Could have a major impact short term...long term a turd.
