I wouldn't, if we win on Thursday and be back as an evil Hull troll.

So true. If Hull win this game, I anticipate an almighty reaction against recent posting trends. It'll be 'nothing's really changed, just not good enough, hopeless away from home...' on here and 'corner turned, and if we can just turn the narrow defeats into wins...', over yonder.
Ah, the joys of chasing 8th

| I'll go on record now as saying that we played well at Wire but were a little unlucky on some decisions and lost to a team that were a bit better that us.
At The Three Eyed Fishes Gaff we dominated for large periods of the game but they did all the little things a lot better than us and were value for the win.
I didn't go to Wakey.
All in all, I don't think we've been awful on the road, just not good enough.

| All this talk about Rovers possibly/easily doing Hull is a bit reminiscent of 2010 ... we went into that game full of confidence having steamrollered Leeds the game before with our Clinton all dominating juggernaut mobile heavyweight super pack at that time. All went to pot that night .. ending with Briscoe/Fox etc. Still, play off win healed the wounds that year. 2012 too, Radford n all running over the top of us. In short, we've produced some right frep @ the stadio KC when the talk has been about us prior.

I'm not sure tbh. Beating you will be enough to make some of our fans happy, but moral is lower than the Agar days atm. Personally, whilst I'd obviously be happy with the win, I would still be over the moon to see Radford get his marching orders.
It's funny though. Whoever wins this game will be ahead of the other in the table (unless it's a very close Hull win). Yet reading the two respective forums, you lot are giddy with excitement and our forum is like Armageddon.
Are our expectations way higher than yours, or does it just show that sport fans are very fickle?

Probably a bit of both really. Most rovers fans are quite realistic in our expectations although we do have some who go over the top at times. Whereas as a non Hull FC supporter, it seems as though most of your supporters feel they have a god given right to be successful rather than looking at things realistically. All just my opinion of course.

| I think Rovers fans current levels of expectation are quite low, but the optimism is based on performances thus far and not necessarily results. We can all see what the team are trying to acheive and (with a couple of notable exceptions) there is improvement game on game. We also had a tick list of items to sort:
Get a replacement hooker - Done
Tie half backs to longer deal - Done
Replace Weyman with big prop - Done
Replace Bailey - What you've never had, you've never missed.

I think we had had our fill during the sandercock years of a dour coach with dour tactics and going to CP had become a chore, we aren't going to be GF winners but we do look entertaining and we are improving. We have assembled a team that should be in a better position than last year and has got the crowd singing a bit. Hopefully we can get a good cup run and have some decent wins under our belt.
We need to add, improve away form to Stans list and I think we'll go well.

Love that one Stan. You'd have got better value swapping him for a new waste paper bin.

| Can't speak for others, but I feel a real connection again with the team and club @ Rovers. I see a group of players who have embraced what we're all about. There's a likeable honesty and work ethic on the pitch, equalled with what appears great team spirit. This team spirit has then transferred to us the fans and appears reciprocated and very much appreciated by the players.
We're by no means a championship team and will have to scrap every minute to compete, but what we've got so far is a group of players who take pride in wearing the shirt, and us fans are proud to acknowledge that right now.
To add to the on field improvement, off the pitch the club, (as the Goroka Gen-ius mentioned) ... are quietly and efficiently going about improvements for now and the future.
