I believe he is referring to the section of your post where you said..... all teams get injuries. Good sides just get on with it it.
In particular I think he was pointing out the fact that you mentioned injuries and good sides in the same breath(so to speak), two words that don't currently match up together as far as Rovers are concerned.

How can you blame the coach for what has happened with regard to injuries.
Poore & Langley Knee / Patela injuries very very rare
Cox & Laroyer Broken Legs
Cockayne not sure but long term
Lovegrove unknown
D Hodgson was out for quite while
Gleeson had to retire after not really making any input to Rovers
A Walker knee
J Walker knee
Eden what can you say ( Brain Storms )
Caro unknown
That's at least 12 players from what you could call first team regulars out for the best part of the season come give the guy a fare shout. And on top of that we have had guys suspended by a bent disciplinary system and our Chairman done a grand for telling the truth'"
Best part of the season? cox, cockayne and laroyer got injured in game 14, lovegrove some time after and langley in game 15. poor would have been suspended for the rest of the season anyway and the walker brother have missed about 9 weeks between them. caro isn't injured and eden is available for selection.
sandycock must be some kind of super hypnotist, he seems to have that many believing the rubbish he spouts. All clubs get injuries

Pretty good summary Jake, Sandercock (directly or indirectly) has this year blamed the hard opening set of games, injuries to key positions, referees and the disciplinary panel and the fact other teams have better players!!
Bradford are widely labelled as the one of the worst teams in SL, the have had an interupted pre season, lost a portion of there squad in the preseason due to financial worries and must be operating at way under the cap, yet Franny Cummins still led them only 2 less wins than us in the first 16 games and they binned him..
Quote: Jake the Peg " Morgan had a better squad of players'"
I agree because he selected / acquired a better squad of players, I'm pretty certain he never had anymore money and he was recruiting into a team that had no youth structure or kudos to attract better players.
Sandercocks great work with youth is something of a misnomer as well, Morgan came into a team that had had no investment into the youth structure yet still brought through Welham (who was good under JM) Taylor and developed Lovegrove into a good SL player. How many had CS actually turned into good players??
Darryl Powell is being Lauded for being a great coach and he is doing well, but as yet he's doing nothing more than JM did with us.

| Have you ever thought that maybe Hudge just doesn't give a stuff anymore but also doesn't want to walk away. He must be fed up of seeing his hard earned cash go to waste every year.

If he didnt give a stuff then why wouldnt he walk away? Most rational people wouldnt pay such vast amounts of money into something they werent d about. No matter what anyone thinks of him, nobody can question his passion for Hull KR

I don't question his passion but at some point seeing no return on your investment must start to grate or even cause you to work on auto pilot. There has been plenty of time to put the required 'structures' in place, the fact they haven't is down to the coach and the board. It would be interesting to see if CS has hit any of his yearly targets, as set by the board, whilst at the club. That's supposing the board have set him targets, and that's open to debate. I bet if you asked Mike Smith what they are he will reply "that's between us and the coach" , which translates to "we haven't got a clue as to what targets a head coach should hit, or even what they could be". In most managerial positions you have yearly appraisal meetings with the boss where you are measured against the targets set at the last appraisal meeting, I just don't think this happens in Rugby League.

I see what you're getting at, especially with his recent vocal disillusion with the RFL. I would be very frustrated too at the moment, but I would react by getting rid of Sandy rather than looking at a new deal. He must have his reasons and I find it difficult to question whether NH is doing anything that's not in the best interests of the club. I would like to know what it's based on though.
With regards targets, surely he can't have met them with our league position and usual cup exit. The 'developing youth' argument might come into it but that's not a primary goal, and when the first team is below par it shouldn't be enough to save his backside.
Unfortunately we don't know what goes on behind the scenes at board level, or what is and isn't discussed between chairmen and coach. As supporters all we can really do is trust and hope that the outcome is a positive one for the club going forward even if we disagree with it at the time

| So we beat a very poor Bradford side. That doesn't totally vindicate Sandy. Yes, we still had to beat them, and yes, the manner in which we beat them was also important. Thursday night is therefore important from a performance viewpoint, even if the result doesn't go our way.

| Friday nights' game means nothing in my eyes when considering Sandercock's future. We have 10 games left. He needs a minimum of 6 wins to convince the doubters but I'm resigned to the fate of him being kept on.
Pass sales will be down hugely on the back of it though.

| Would pass sales really go down on the back of sandy signing a new deal? We the team is not performing well that's when we need to show support, not turn away. Hudge has steered us well so far so I'll trust his decision with the coach position. Does anyone really think that Chester, with no head coach experience, should be appointed? That would be a huge gamble. So if we go for an experienced head coach, who is available that would be interested? Kear, noble? Both huge backward steps.
