Quote: Voltaire "Well, while you lot of sycophants, who gladly lick up to people with no rugby knowledge or record, enjoy the delights of finishing 8th, 10th and probably 8th , 9th or 10th , wallow in the genius of giving another genius a new £100,000 deal out of your gate money, some of us will be glad never to watch an RL game again..

Rovers are desperate for anyone with some RL knowledge to be involved at the top, the Sandercock decision stinks of amateurs....as did the month jolly to Aus(on the club), to appoint him...

Aside from Phil Lowe, who is practically senile now, there is absolutely no RL people involved, a very sad state of affairs..the chairman(and Vice and assorted buddies (commentator etc)), (none of em ever played at all), lets be honest, if he had no money and was an everyday supporter , would not be anywhere near the club in opinion or decision, yet he makes every decision going that drives the club in entirely the wrong direction on the field at least...luck followed by money is all it is and its leading Rovers up a very wrong path...by all means whack your money in but get rid of your useless mates and get some RL people in , we aint got Roger Millward or any men of experience this time around so its gonna be hard work...and Sandy ain't a Moses...'"

i remember the 90s when we had rugby people involved what an golden era for the club that was at the top you need business people involved the rugby people they sort out the on field stuff

Your right mate. By every measure imaginable Hudgel and his board have taken Rovers backwards since they took over.
Maybe we should get Sean Long Ray French and Alex Murphy in to run the club if rugby experience is essential to running the club. Here´s me thinking that Sandercock hasn't coached in the NRL.
Maybe you can't be a cardiologist if you haven't had a heart attack or a vet if you haven't been a horse.
To me the club is doing far better than most other clubs of its size.

Course it is. Clubs of our size include Cas, Huddersfield, Widnes. All been going backwards these last few years!

I agree with some of your points. The attack on Hudge however, I don't. The main reason why we are debating where we are as a decent mid range Super League side is all down to him. He's made some mistakes, granted. But even a man with rugby experience could of made the same.
But all that being said, I'm not enamoured about the timing of the coaches position. Please lets not make any announcements until the end of the season.
It's up to Sandy for us to have a good end to the season so I will buy my pass for next year. If we have a dreadful end, then its no pass for me and picking my games next season. And I know many who think the same.

stan your anti sandercock agenda is there for all to see but remind we how many times cas and widnes have finished above us since weve been in super league and I doubt much will change this season Huddersfield on the other hand have a very wealthy backer. You said before the Bradford and wakefield games that when we win these games its because these teams were poor I think you even said we would lose to wakey then we beat warrington and suddenly there a poor side then we beat hull and its what if whiting had of kicked that goal. Who do you want to replace sandercock with stan

Signing & re-signing players is very difficult while there is uncertainty about the coaching position. Last year Hudge was threatening to walk & we were stalling on keeping Sandercock. This cost us players. The anti tampering deadline is next week. Planning for 2015 is happening now, another late decision will leave us playing catch up again.

I'm not saying give sandercock a five year deal because he's the best coach in the world I just think there isn't anyone going to come in and do a better job so its a matter of stability

I'm still not totally convinced. However, after 4 gamesish I stated on here that Hudge ought to set a target of 10 points after the first 10 games otherwise he should get rid immediately. Stangely enough, he's not far off with 9 points and improved performances including a tough easter monday fixture and injuries. Another 1 year deal seems fair. Hes probably hitting his targets, just not exceeding them.

An ideal opportunity for Sir Stan & Voltaire to tell Sandercock and the club what they are doing wrong and ask Phil Lowe if he is nearly senile

In a funny coincidence, the new coach of the soccer team that shares a stadium with the Newcastle Knights is a guy from Hull named Phil Stubbins.
