| Quote: The_Mighty_F90 "St Helens trio Francis Meli, Jon Wilkin and Ade Gardner have all been charged with committing offences during their Tetley’s Challenge Cup fourth round tie against Hull KR on Saturday April 20.
Meli will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Panel tomorrow evening (Tuesday April 23) in relation to a Grade E, intentional high tackle offence committed in the 33rdminute of the game.
Wilkin has been charged with committing a Grade C dangerous shoulder charge on Hull KR’s Michael Dobson in the 4thminute of the contest while Gardner has been charged with committing a Grade B dangerous shoulder charge on Kris Welham in the 17thminute.
Both Wilkin and Gardner have until 11.00am on Tuesday April 23 to submit Early Guilty Pleas in relation to the offences.'"
If the rfl are serious about the new shoulder barge rule then they have to start setting examples starting with Wilkin and gardner . Having only watching the game once I cant remember much of the gardner one tbh but the Wilkin hit on Dobson was shocking . Why couldnt silverwood go to the big screen to look at point of contact ?

They will both probably put an early guilty plea and cop a measly 1 game ban each ... The system works

The Wilkin one is deserving of a couple of games, but I genuinely think Gardner was committed and when Welham passed to his winger he was that shocked it caused him to turn into the tackle and lead with the shoulder. The fact that Welham finally passed to his winger was also the reason why Hodgy dropped it.

They can both submit an early guilty plea but Wilkin's charge is Grade C so it's a minimum of 2 matches. Gardner's is a Grade B so that will be a one match ban, if he pleads guilty.
I was embarrassed by our discipline at the match on Saturday.

i like the last point there why are ref so quick to go to the screen for some calls but not others , in most games tv you can see players asking the ref to go to the screen ,sometimes they will sometimes they dont ,going back to your point iirc silverwood put the incident on report saying he did not see the point of contact.unless he didnt want to inflate gansons over inflated ego any bigger giving him bbc airtime.

We've brought someone in on loan but we don't know who they are?
Mike Smith signing that.

| Hall to left centre (his versatilty is so valuable at the moment!), Caro or Brown recalled, I guess.
A loan signing would be good. For all that Green and Beaumont have done okay-well, if it isn't a centre, I'd guess at a prop.

| a centre / 2nd row type would be my guess, but I'm with you, switch hally to left centre which was arguably his best position at hull and bring browny back in on the right wing

He not getting much game time at the Giants at the moment? Pleased if true.
Netherton coming back would be an odd one - or do you just mean he is back in the UK?
