Off to New York at the end of October to meet up with some friends. We've been before in 2004 and as 9/11 had happened the year before lots of things were closed, such as you couldn't go up the Statue of Liberty.
This time they're closing the bloody thing for maintenance the day we arrive. Flipping Yanks.

One observation - why do the FC supporters seem so keen on spending most of their time on the Rovers forum? Do you lot have nothing else better to do? Or are you all secret Rovers fans?  |

I was correct. Chicken (allegedly spicy) Chimichangas, (I got that because I like the name) very average.
Basically a big stodgy parcel containing bland rice with some not very spicy strips of chicken and then a pot of sour cream, bland salsa that had once glanced at a chilli and guacamole that I could make better in five minutes.
Do not go. |

Yes it was. I got married in Mexico in 2002 and flew back on the first anniversary of 9/11. Never seen security like it at an airport.
As an aside, Mrs R.B.A had her wedding dress in a suitcase that was filled with polystyrene balls. I did pass this information on before airport staff opened the case and flooded the floor with tens of thousands of the little things. |
