| Quote: ☺East-Sard☺ "When's the last time someone talked to us? The only quotes I can recall are from Morgan during his press duties and the odd snippet from Hudgell. It seems clear from the outside looking in, that HDM no longer have a lot access to Rovers.
I think the recent 'bad blood' ([sizeif there is any[/size) started when Rovers cut them out of the Mason week to start with. The Mail then (aided by Radio Humberside) did their sleuthing to 'uncover' the Dobson deregistering saga. The Mail then ran the Dobson 'free agent/contract terminated' story whilst HKR said no comment, instead preferred to issue their own statement on hullkr.co.uk. The story snow balled and over shadowed the 'what was the biggest signing in our history' story. Hudge then goes on record over the PA system at CP expressing his displeasure at both local media outlets etc.
If I recall at the time Rovers were getting a new website and started to aggressively promote hullkr.tv by releasing all/most of their content and news through this media stream. This move no doubt improved traffic to hullkr.co.uk and helped the commercial partners in the process. But more or less cut out HDM/Humberside.
The problem what we’ve had this season is the relentless PR disasters that have happened. We don’t want to talk about them and so the likes of the HDM have had free rein to say whatever they like. ‘The Mail understands … followed by ‘Sources close’ are a proven winner. Because we’re not talking to them our side of matters haven’t come across. Thus we can’t control or limit what bad press we’re getting … PR disasters.'"
You haven't answered the question when did Rovers treat the HDM like dirt.

| I think it's safe to say Justin will indeed be moving on come the end of this season if he can secure a job elsewhere, just a case of who'll replace him

That would also be a good choice agree, although it would sure be a dilemma for Webbo if Hull wanted to keep him - return to the club you love and where you was a hero, or stay with the club who's given you your first coaching role, could be very interesting indeed...

| How would James Webster be a good choice?
If we had appointed a new coach 4 weeks ago, this turnaround would have suggested we had done the correct thing in disposing of Morgan, I would like to think the main reason for our little change in fortune is that both Dobbo and Newton are back in the squad and we are finding a bit of form.

Well admittedly Justin deserves credit for 3 wins from 3, but tbf it has been against very weak opposition.
IMO there would be many advantages to Webster as coach:
- His previous spell was very successful and led to our first silverware in 8 years
- He's been learning the ropes at Hull, one of the biggest clubs in the country
- He's young, the advantage of this been openness to new, modern ideas
- He knows a large part of the squad (Briscoe, Fisher, Murrell, Netherton, Newton, Galea etc) having played in SL with them in 2007 and / or 2008
Okay it would be partly a gamble due to him having no experience as head coach, but in terms of continuity and stability at the club it could be worth the risk.

Its ok dismissing the wins as 'against poor opposition' and therefore nothing worth shouting about. Wakefield are woeful but we still put 70 on them (potentially 84), not an easy task as I'm sure Saints will agree.

That's true, but considering he's almost certainly leaving now anyway we've got to start planning ahead eh. If not Webster, who else is available for the level we need?

Why is he almost certainly leaving?
I'd approach McClennan.

Daniel Anderson would be very high up the list

Noble, Kear, Paul Anderson, Ian Millward, Daniel Anderson, Wane if he isn't confirmed as Wigan boss, Gentle...
basically all the people, other than Morgan, rumoured to be on Cas' radar.
I'd rather go for new broom than pick somebody because they used to play for us.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Pretty much nailed on for NZ Warriors. But a good shout.
