I havent a clue what your 1st sentance means.
But in response to the 2nd.
Matt Cook although it could be said has stagnated rather in the last 2 years has still represented England, been part of a Grand Final winning squad and a World Club Challenge winning side.
The change of club is probably just what he needs to get kick started again but time will time.
The obvious being that he is British signing not overseas.
Ratu has a fine pedigree.
However Senior is still around at Leeds and in fine form and they have signed an overseas centre in Delaney.
Kallum Watkins is probably next in line so the change of club looks the correct decision.
Add to that Leeds were reluctant to lose Ratu.
Supporting a side like Hull FC as you do who benefited from Leeds deeming the likes of Raynor,Dowes,Carvell surplus to requirements im surprised you have such a view on Ratu.
Hodgson was on Morgan's wish list 12 months earlier but signed for Hull for a year so his coming to Craven Park was no surprise.
He was the outstanding player in Hull's Reserve team last season by a country mile and Morgan must think he has the makings of a good player.
I will take his view over yours on that one.
Wheedon and Lovegrove were both very good last season.
Better then Moa.
So i dont see your comparison.

Dunno, but he was supposedly the best reserve player last season

What are you on! a very good player he is and an outstanding prospect but he was not a country mile a head of Jack Briscoe, Reece Lynne and even to an extenet, Dennis Tuffour - And i make that claim after watching all reserve games barring 2 last season. How many did you go see, as a Rovers fan? or have you made the coment based upon what you have read? if so, you have just lambasted certain members for "believing what they read"

Yeah, but Scott & Rhys are not part of some marketing campaign that's got everyone suddenly believing them to be world-beaters.
We missed a trick there, we could have had the "PNG Triads" T-shirts for the last 3 seasons!

Both made double the number of meters Moa made last year, but then Sam's appearances tend to be 10 mins with 70 warming the bench.

Moa missed most of the season. What are the metres per carry or metres per minute on the pitch looking like?
Sam also got a player of the month aware, did either of the Rovers lads? I'm not wanting a slangling match, i'm trying to have a reasonable debate, just wondering on what basis the original statement was made?

He made 14 appearances, compared to Lovegrove's 16.
He made 987 metres, compared to Rhys' 1822.

I don't know about mins on the pitch, I suspect Lovegrove's to be significantly higher than Moa's.

Different playing styles, I prefer Lovegrove because of his versatility when needed.

Lovegrove is a surprise package for me. I think he developed really well into a front rower last season. Good size and speed. I expect him to be one of your better players in 2010 too.
Guess each side needs a blend. We've been hugely lacking in impact players over the last few seasons so have made additions like Moa and Lauaki. I dont think we would have needed a lovegrove with us already having big units like Cusack up front, would have been too similar.
I would question though whether your front row is strong enough and diverse enough for 2010?

Thats very impressive, as you say, Lovegrove spent more time on the pitch but that wouldnt account for double the yards.

maybe why they are trying for Clinton. Lovegrove has been a solid performer for us when fit and has the added ability to slot in the second row or in the centres should the need arise. Morgan plays a different game to Agar, each coach has their own ideas on how a squad should be built, so far Morgan has done well, with one or two crap signings, but in the main he has signed well. I think Lovegrove could well prove to be a top prop over the next few seasons, which is great considering his age.
We will see a dramatic change in our squad over the next two seasons or so when the likes of Cooke, Galea, Vella and Webster leave and if we can keep the young ones like Lovegrove I am sure we will maintain our progress towards more youngsters coming through either from our set up or from other clubs.

Indeed, which is why i've questioned before the fact that if his signing doesnt happen are you short up front?

I agree, but if we don't get him I think they will have made some contingencies, maybe during the season as the money will still be available.
