| There is a report on sky sports text that he has had it opperated on tonight and that it was an open fracture wher the bone came through the skin, hopefuly he should be on the road to recovery soon, all the best of luck again to him and HKR.

| Hope he recovers quickly. No player deserves this to happen.
I hope he does get back to playing again and that it doesn't end his career. Kevin Ward's career at Saints ended because of a compound fracture. Respect to a very tough lad, playing the hardest sport there is

| It's fantastic to see many fans wishing him well, unlike on Facebook where quite a few people I know are actually laughing about it. The FC fans on here have restored my faith in you lot.
Sickening injury, was stood right near the screen with my little sister who is 14, she saw it and screamed. Hope he can make a speedy recovery, and can walk again, let alone play a game of RL.

| Maybe not the thread for this, but here goes .... Contrast the reaction of the Leeds fans to a serious injury of an opposition player this evening when compared to the ambulance 'chants' that Ryan Bailey was subjected to by numerous Robins fans, when he was carried off in a neck brace after a similar lengthy suspension in play at Craven Park earlier in the season ?

| Hope Chev makes a speedy recovery. Not usually a fan of Senior but he acted really quickly tonight and made sure that tha game was stopped.
No injury to a player, however serious is good, but tonights response from fans made me proud to be a rugby league fan. Fans usually all applaud an injured player but for the Leeds and Hull KR fans to both sing There's only one chev walker - well it brought a tear to my eye.
And dont anyone tell me that rugby league isn't the hardest game.... to applaud fans when u have a bone sticking out of your leg is unbelievable.
Get well soon, Chev!

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I don't agree, I think he/she's got a bit of a point.
CBA to copy and paste my reply from Substandard but, in a nut shell, there's a few of ours that could learn a bit about sporting behaviour from tonight.

This thread is about Chev and his awful injury.
Not some points scoring tittle tattle from a game played months ago.
Think On.

| Sorry.....there is no point to be made.
Some fans are idiots. Some fans are great.
Admiral Hanson - that was totally unnecessary.
This thread is TOTALLY about Chev Walker and a truly sickening injury and how we wish him the speediest recovery possible. It is not about a 'compare and contrast' of moronic fans and their reactions.
think on
move on
or remove yourself from the forum, and place yourself with those moronic fans you criticised.

What's that supposed to mean, I agree that this is probably not the place to compare fans reactions, and if you feel like it, feel free to check my posts on the subject (I wouldn't bother, it'll be a waste of time and dull), actually your right, this is no place for an argument.
Awful injury, hope the op's gone well Chev and the rehab's bearable.

That goes without saying and hope it is some point in to not-too-distant future that Chev Walker is playing again.

If you had a 60% influx of new fans, tons of them would be morons. Same has happened to Hull. It's times like this when we ignore the morons and group together as real RL fans and express our collective sympathy.
Leeds have had plenty of dodgy moments in the past, including singing "Down with your trawlers". I don't hold you responsible for that, because like most of us, you're probably a genuine RL fan.
