Made up to see Dobson in. Wigan fans will always hold him in high regard and it's nice to see him form a partnership with one of our current lads in Sam Tomkins.
I just wish we still had both!

Not a contender for the dream team IMO though.
Murrell you need to re-assess your opinion of.
He has a great kicking game both long and short, can break the line with his footwork and as you say tackles anything that moves.
Well, Rovers had the foresight to get Dobson and then extend his deal so we will never know about your final opinion. |

3 forty-twenties, 38 attacking kicks and 83 kicks in general play says otherwise.
Murrell is one of the key players in our squad and it is no surprise to me that the games we seem to have played worse in are the ones Scott has missed. |

I can think of a few of Scott's tries which have come from a combination of power and sheer dogged determination when there seems to be nothing on.

40/20 fair point. Others arent worth the paper theyre written on. They could have all gone down the full backs throat etc.  |

Good job Long is only on a 2 year deal to help develop our juniors then!!
Age aside, if Dobbo ever does in his career what Long has he should be very pleased. |

I would be delighted too especially if its our club. Sean Long has been a fantastic player during the SL era, but whole problem is you can't take age aside. he'll be 34 going into his 1st season with Hull and I would expect him to spend a period of time on the sidelines, at best it will be 3 or 4 games. Not looked at the stats of 34 year olds playing in SL but I would expect that to be a good return rate. The year after you would expect that ratio to get worse. Don't get me wrong he could have a real good run of it but if I was the coach I would be planning on those ratios.
Dobson is at the beginning of his career and as such it I would expect him to have a good games played to games missed ratio and that he will continue to improve. He may break a leg next year but it would be unexpected.
