30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| I cannot believe we haven't saved such momentous news for Monday after we lose on Sunday.
Let's hope Netherton can now afford some razors, the scruffy get.

| All squads need solid reliable players, which Nev is, OK, he is never going to score a 50 yerder or play for England, but he is a good squad player and if its 20-16 to us with 10 minutes to go on Sunday, there isn't a better lad to have on the park IMO.

| I know he's favourite to win this years garrett crossmanaward for scapegoat of the year but in all fairness hes played really well the last 3 or 4 games, certainly better than a couple of our front line props.
If we got rid we'd no doubt judt sign another also ran on a lot more cash from either oz or somewhere else.
If JM had have got rid 2 years ago and he'd gone to wakey there'd no doubt be a thread on here saying how good he was snd we shouldn't have let him go.
He's our longest serving player, puts in a lot of good work and i reckon doesnt cost the earth.
Well done Jason, lets hope you make afew eat there words.

| I've said a few times on this forum that i'm not nev's biggest fan, however as a SQUAD player i feel its ok, as he's on the homegrown list and will be cheap on the cap, its the fact he appears to be in the 17 every week when fit. for me he'd play when we had an injury or suspension or 4 or over the silly easter period and not a great deal else of the time. He's not the sort of player i'm chuffed about resigning unless he's going to be back up, which given that morgan is in charge isn't the case.
not going to frighten any other side in super league this signing

Having a player like Netherton in the squad, isn't a problem for me. Wins the floor and that (did that sound like I know what I'm on about?

Hey here's a new game, Rovers Scapegoat 13, here's mine (main scapegoat year in brackets):
1. Leroy Rivett (2006)
2. Casey Maybury (2004)
3. Rob Danby (199icon_cool.gif
4. Kane Epati (2005)
5. Liam Colbon (2010)
6. Jake Webster (2006
7. James Webster (2007)
8. Jim Gannon (2007)
9. Andy Ellis (2006)
10. David Mills (200icon_cool.gif
11. Dwayne Barker (2006)
12. Jason Netherton (2011)
13. Damian Ball (2004 I think)
Not very good / correct I know, but just thought would be interesting to see what could come up with.
Im not been funny but theres no way Rob Danby was a scapegoat, he was just crap. The most lightweight player ive ever seen play the game.

I always feel bad when I see people slate Rob. I'll have to stick up for him and say he's a lovely lad. Haven't seen him for about fifteen plus years but he is a nice guy. Very, very talented as a youngster, I played with him when we were about thirteen/fourteen, and he used to rip it up. Classic case of a lad who just didn't take it with him as he got older.
