I don't mind Yeaman. Good player and seems a nice enough lad in the little bits of interviews I've seen. He plays up to the local rivalry thing, but it's all just fun.'"
During the meet the fans in the bar, vid on the HDM site, the guy with the mike asks Mason about Ogre, the answer was something like "we'll kill each other then have a beer"
at that point a "fan" shouted "smash that Yeaman"
Mason did come back with "who"
So said fan was busy sitting there getting his pants all stained over Yeaman while the biggest signing you made was in da house!

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Yeah, had a good game and scored a cracking try iirc. Think it was about 2006.
I don't mind Yeaman, decent player for you guys and clearly enjoys playing the pantomime villain at CP, he must get motivation from half the East stand getting on his back because it never appears to put him off his game in the slightest.

TBF if judged as a Super League centre I think Yeaman is an excellent defensive centre but other than that he's a nothing player.

Not really, he flicked the V's up to the Rovers fans at the KC last year whilst there were kids present - the guy is an idiot.
As I said, other than being decent defensively the guy is a nothing player in SL terms and that's probably why he gets so upset that his career hasn't panned out like he wanted it because the harsh reality is that he's averagely average.

| As a loyal Queenslander I was shocked and disappointed when Big Willie came to the Cowboys last year. He had a terrible reputation and had done nothing for the Roosters in 2009.
I am happy to say I was proven wrong and wish he was still with us in 2011. He was very professional and gave his best every week in a losing team. He is really motivated and excitable and will give the team enthusiasm.
I reckon you have a great signing, and in a few weeks he will be playing good football for Hull.
When he came to Townsville he was booed on to the field for his first game. By the end of the season he was a crowd favourite and everyone loved Big Willie. He is about as bright as a five watt light bulb but very frank and honest in his media interviews so they are actually very funny.
I remember at an away game in Canberra one of the wags in the crowd had a sign that said. COWBOYS CAN KEEP THEIR BIG WILLIE BECAUSE WEVE GOT A BIG TONGUE. (Their hooker was and still is Allan Tongue).

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.
Regards,
Matthew[/quote:3e09qe5x]:23521.jpg |

Thanks for dropping by.
Nice to have some recent input into Willie's attributes, although it does tend to contradict the well-held view that he's past it and only here for the cash.
