If he has a cracking game for the reserves then yes id say give him a chance and see how he goes; the fact is when theyve played 2 games and let in 100 points with a reply of 6 why should any of them deserve the chance in the 1st 17 on matchday?

Im not qualified to comment on his performances as i havn't personaly seen him play in the reserves, however, a couple of friends who have, say that he has been playing behind a well beaten pack which to be fair makes a great deal of difference, even Dobson has looked innefective at times in the past when our first team pack have underperformed.

I get it, I like murrell he's an honest 100% player but if you dont blood the young ones in proper positions and they see players playing out of position what message are we sending? look at my post about charnley.

Just got back a bit ago.

There were no significant fundamental problems with Rovers' defence or attack and with the fair share of possession in the first half, Rovers were comfortably the better side.

The second half was a continuation of the theme of our opening games and that is one of unforced errors resulting in defending our own line for too often to do anything well when the team do eventually get their hands on the ball.

So rather than being concerned about specific aspects of attack and defense, the bigger concern to me is why our games seem to be following this trend but I've no doubt that as soon as Rovers cut out there errors to a moderate level you'd expect from most sides, then this team will show what quality there is in it.

No half-back in the world will make any difference what so ever until the team start holding on to the ball.
