Black Backgrounds/The%20Swedish%20Chef.gif Hull KR play off wins = just the one.:Black Backgrounds/The%20Swedish%20Chef.gif |

| Quote: spegs "Hull on the slide? Read my post (on the other Hull Fc forum) regarding results since last May and I think you will realise that Hull with the exception of the C Cup and play-off game last year have been poor for almost a year. Off the field discipline is at the root cause of this and Plummer and Swain have intimated this recently. Kears departure may resolve this issue.
As far HKR on the up, well only time will tell. I have yet to watch you this year but for me you have not faced anybody who you would expect to have given you a half decent game apart from Bradford and Hull who both beat you. If you manage to beat the likes of Leigh and Widnes then you may allow your self bragging rights if you forget to take in to account:
The last derby
The one before that
The one before that (Moral victories discluded)
Fan base
Super League
KC stadium
Average attendances
Annual turnover
Sponsorship deals
.....etc etc
Its a bit like the England / Scotland, Man U / Man City thing. Once in a while the fans at the inferior nation / club have an opportunity for a gloat at the other teams expense and good luck to you. It has been a long time coming.
Unfortunately ,as in the examples I have used, this will be very fleeting and normal service will resume shortly.
Enjot you moment of "triumph"

And for a buy out it obiously means there is something there that Hetherington is worried about. If Hull was on such a good footing then she wouldn't sell would she Especially for the amount rumoured to be involved? Sinking ship I'd say. While at Rovers everything is quite the opposite.
And it's less likely to happen now you've a new coach? What with Mcnamara Pahhhhh stop kidding yourself. Whats true is at the moment your team is on the slide and Rovers are most certainly on the up.
Disagree and you'll be laugthed off this board like the fool you are.'"
I'd have been more concerned if we'd stuck with kear,i think they did the right thing and was one of the first to say so.What difference losing away to bradford narrowly in the challenge cup makes to your arguement i don't know.
As for the buy out,you could look at it 2 ways,if someone came in to buy rovers you'd claim it was because the investor had recognised the potential to develop the club and take it to the top,but because it's Hull everyones jumping ship.Have you read the article in tonights paper regarding the shareholders acting as gaurantors for a £500,000 mortgage to build our ambitious training complex?hardly the actions of a sinking ship.
You ridicule mcnamara without having any knowledge of his coaching abilities,i'll bet he knows more about the game than you could ever dream of knowing,so what makes you qualified to assess and mock his credentials?Did he not turn rovers down when they approached him?
as for rovers being on the up,come back in 6 months when you've got something to back your claims up with,it's just the annual hot air that comes from craven park and usually ends in a flood of tears.

So you ridicule McNamara eh.
Well FYI McNamara will more than likely sign a new four year deal with Bradford and WILL be their next first team caoch, when Nobby stands down. The likelyhood of him coming to Hull is diminishing by the hour. But it could be worse Hull could have ended up with Morgan!!!!! Thankfully you've got him.
Perhaps you should aim your comments on McNamara's coaching ability towards the Bratfut message board its more relevant there!!!!

| There's a big difference between a "buyer coming in" to buy a club and the current owner actively seeking to get rid. Not another "the people of hull have thwarted me" David Lloyd dummy spit scenario is it?

Not this year it won't. I've always said Cooke will transfer to Hull KR eventually, I think thats pretty much common knowledge, however it won't be in 2007 and its very, very unlikely to be in 2008 either.

I have to say that Dave m's inside information about the comings and goings at both Rovers and FC is mightily impressive.

Thats funny last i knew Justin Morgan took tulouse to the semis last year and his current team(us), are through to round 5 and are almost a shoe in for the quarters this year. sounds like you could do with him.

Well Mike, (I don't suppose you'll use the Jonny Queer moniker for much longer), on what do you base your statement about Morgan? As far as I'm aware his record as a coach is pretty good.

| one thing all the hull fans will have to aknowledge is that we at this club have pulled together and the fans we have are true to the club as success has been limited to say the least, the board has been superb of late (thanks hudgie) the marketing of it being the pride of east hull is a masterstroke. In response to the power balance shifting i think we are still a way off that however the gap is at its smallest it has been for many a year but underlying infrastructure at the KC is very good their youth policy is top notch the only problem hull have in my humble opinion is kath and cronies, they will leave hull with suitcases full o cash and shimmy back to wence they came from which is miles from here
