The thing that I find strange is that it doesn't suit anybody - either of the clubs or the player - to release this now (if it were true). The report was too certain and detailed be be dismissed retrospectively as speculation - somebody has dropped one, I think.
The only other possibilities are in the realms of conspiracy theory and cock-up always seems more likely than conspiracy to me.

Shannon Mac is a good player and I would like him to stay, but if he leaves I doubt he will be missed as much as 10% as much as the above list and by the time 2013 kicks off, he will be forgotten.

It didn't give figures apart from the 'substantial' tagline it didn't even say he had signed if I remember right.
It was very similar to the Shenton story with him going to HKR and we all know how that ended.
My point is still that we are supposed to dismiss the comments of the player, His team mates, Hull FC and Hull Kingston Rovers all on the say so of Mike White.
He may end up at FC but some won't even entertain that Mike White maybe wrong.

I would entertain Mike White.

Maybe do some juggling for him, a little bit of singing (not my forte I might add), throw some stilt walking in there and finish off with a strip tease. Could do all of them at once.

I didn't hear the Shenton story, but the impression I got was that they weren't hedging their bets especially. There was all the 'understand' and 'sources' stuff, but not much equivocating with 'may' or 'could', iirc. Only listened once, tbf.

'Agreed', rather than 'signed' I think they said. I think we can be confident he definately hasn't signed, and that the story was groundless has to be entertained, at least. I don't think it is clear cut, either way. We'll see - the kid is free to ply his trade wherever he wishes, nowt for anybody to get their knickers in a twist over IMO.

Can still see Shannon signing for the Sharks,but mike black n white Gollum and blunderside have made a massive boo boo here, i will never boo anyone but can see it being quite hostile tomorrow for our No.1, no need to mention it at the moment!
