Quote: Mild Rover "Having said this at the back end of last month...
The rumours of Mickey Paea signing have cheered me up no end. Never seen him play, didn't even know he existed until today and just because they're brothers doesn't mean they're similar players - but I don't care. He looks the part in his picture on Wikipedia and that is how I judge NRL players.'"
We could also have him sing at the Christmas parties, go in to you tube and type in, ( Mickey Paea, Sam Perrett & Lopini Paea singing My Girl) , he is also very good at working in the community with kids wich would also be an advantage .

It now just remains to be seen if the signing materializes.

They were actually really good, weren't they? If he plays as well as he sings there'd be no complaints.

That rarest of commodities, a Rovers moderator in touch with his feminine side. Nice face, good singer, ample moobs, job's a good 'un.

| Hasn't hit the levels his junior days promised but would be a excellent signing for any SL side.

Are you an agent or Gould's love bucket?
You appear to be a Junior scout, up and coming aficionado of all of Australasia, (and, let's not forget the Pacific Islands) knowledge of all of Europe and agent for everyone as regards contracts, terms and conditions.
You truly are [i THE MAN.[/i

It's "DA". Tsk.
Also, since this thread is descending into man-love, Pearson and Hudgell and the new David Owen and David Steel puppets. I feel a bit ill at the thought of "burying the hatchet" in tomorrow's HDM. Unless it's in Hudgell's head, of course. That last bit is a joke.

I just watch a bit of rl, he's named on the bench for Canterbury this weekend.
08.30 on premier sports (ch 433) live Saturday.

| Bulldog fans are spewing at the thought of Paea being allowed to leave.
Seems they rate him very highly indeed.
Realistically, he would seem as good a signing as any club could make from the NRL in the current climate.

Apparently in a strength test that they carried out between the players at the club, he was the overall strongest, also described as a devastating runner on his day.

Exactly what we need.
So assuming we have signed:
Taulapapa
Hodgson
O'Hara
Paea
Withers
Horne
That still leaves us in need of a quality full back imo (assuming Clinton and Newton are staying.)

| We could go...
1. Taulapapa / Sheriff
2. Webster / Latus
3. Horne / Salter
4. Welham / Hall
5. Hodgson / Johnson
Not saying we will - but looking at the ooc SL wingers and our growing strength in the pack, Webster on the wing and Horne in the centres makes sense to me.

I think the weekend showed us that Hall may be considered more as a wing option before Webster.

| I don't think they'll let us play with ten backs.

I'll have to wait until my DVD arrives to judge.
