This info came from the same source that told us that Welham was leaving to sign for Bradford a week or so in advance of it becoming common knowledge.
Rumour only and don't know how true it is. Is Ambler any good?'"
He played against Rovers in the pre-season friendly and led from the front.
I've been over to 'fax a few times this season and IMO he is a cut above the Championship - reminds me of Andy Lynch. Does the hard yards and has a good off-load.
I work with a number of Rhinos and they rated him when he played for them but was starved of first grade so he moved on.
Could be a good acquisition.
ps are you Ronnies Dad?

| Quote: fun time frankie "Where's seventies red with his harry Poole bar rumours'"
I'm here.
Or is it here?.
Or here?
Anyway, in answer to your question regarding rumours in the Harry Pool bar, there weren't any, or at least no new rumours to add to the ones that were mentioned a couple of weeks ago, in fact the HP bar was quite empty due to most people been out on the pitch taking part in the end of season party celebrations.
At the end of the day these are only rumours and will remain so until the club actually announce the signings etc.
The ones regarding new forwards and Tilse going home (or not) are just the same though according to an ex player, Tilse apparently had said he considered going home but then started to have second thoughts, he also said the current Physio, plus one or two other members of the conditioning staff would be leaving to replaced by members of Jamie Peacocks team, apparently they were due to be having a meeting sometime in the early part of this week to discuss some of their future plans.
The one thing I did hear again, but this time from the same ex player as above plus a current employee was regarding Siemens been the main sponsor next season, they also said something about them having input into the proposed new South stand at some point in the future, both said that this information had come from reliable sources and had been circulating for some time. I for one certainly hope this is true as it would be a real coup for the club to get a company of such international stature on board as a sponsor.
Having said all that and to be honest, the only people who 100% know for definite what is happening are those who are board members, in particular Neil Hudgell and Rob Crosland who usually keep their cards pretty close to their chests .
However, there is usually some truth in rumours circulating at any one time, its just a matter of picking out the most plausible ones.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

The look on his Mrs face......ffs not again......
The latest city of culture promo film starring Ronnie lacks the polish of previous films but it gets the message over.
If Rovers don't sign him he's surely got to be the Hull cultural ambassador.

| Anyone heard any more about John Boudebsa latest I heard was they had offered him a contract but it was more or I less the same as he was on and that was not a lot he is looking elsewhere as his agent has had a few enquiries from other clubs.
Have they no idea what they are letting slip if they don't sign him to a long term contract?

I asked him if he was staying and he said he hopes so and is in negotiations with the club

| I thought he'd already signed?
Clearly I'm wrong. We'd be mental to not offer him improved terms, he's been the SL find of the season for me, he's turned many games and I think he's the perfect foil for Lunt.
I also think he's been better than Lunt

You are right when you say the club would be mental not to offer him improved terms and a long term contract as well imo.
I heard that he was only on a minimal contract as he was an unknown and untested at the beginning of the year but was now asking (or at least his agent was), for three times the amount now that he has become established.
For me it will be money worth spent and I reckon Rovers will eventually come somewhere close to agreeing those terms, I certainly hope so anyway.

| IIRC, his deal was that if he played a Certain amount of games, it triggered a contract for 2016.
Now, clearly, he's exceeded everyone's expectations, let's remember, he put paid to Carlisle's career at Rovers.
This has undoubtedly alerted the rest of the league, quality hookers are at a premium.
We need to spend the money and sign him long term.

| He also makes a mean Croque Monsieur, which needs to be factored into the equation.
I forgot that first time around.

| Hope we don't pi55 about and lose him over a few quid. Been great this season and only going to improve. We need to keep hold of our good players for the foreseeable and build a team, Lunt and Boudebza nailed down would be one position sorted.

| Hasn't it been reported that he has already signed a deal?
If not get him sorted out soon.
He's ours. The rest of the league can find their own French impressionist genius.
