I went to uni with a bloke from Clitheroe, he was on Blockbusters and was highly pleased that he got to say the immortal words "Can I have a P please, Bob" on telly. Quite an exciting part of the world, Pendle Witches and all that. Some really sick-minded manifestations happen, so watch out.
Go on, tell us your order.'"
'The Famous Five and You' were some books that circulated, the front cover had a silhouette within the group portrait and this was, you, the reader (shown above). Throughout the book you had to make challenging decisions about where/what to do next, for instance, the tunnel forks off ahead, the tunnel to the left is in complete darkness whereas the one on the right appears to be lit, perhaps the pirates are in there, 'you name here' should we go left in the dark (turn to page 21icon_cool.gif or go right where the nasty pirates could be (turn to page 117).
I got wise to the books and learned that if you always elected for the more dangerous situation, you finished the book quicker because the writers made the easy options turn out to be dead ends and you ended back up at the entrance to the two options.
I think I'll go for 5selects with sour cream dip and a still Fanta.

Punk cover band - quite famous in Hull. Used to go and see them a lot about ten years ago, not sure if it's the same line-up but they were good then.

So not Enid's, therefore a derivative abomination. (Bit like the word dinette, like where you are.)

The good old days of pocket money and car boot sales, the age I was at the author didn't matter, they weren't as good though and as I've said, were fool proof.
With Children's book authors in mind, I was at my Mums the other week and she was entertaining my Nephew with 'James and the Giant Peach', it had an autograph inside the front cover by Roald Dahl himself, I think he must have been around the age of 8 when he did it, wonder if it's worth anything?

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Well "pmh" is available, so I don't think there would be anything stopping you.
This would be a great ruse, it won't work because nobody would agree. We could all swap user names and avatars, but keep the same posting style, and up the pretend swearing, Roverswall's swede would explode.
I used to have some of those role play books, a bit like an early version of a Resident evil type video game. Mine were all based around some sort of cod mythology, you got choices of which page to turn to and then you had to fight monsters by choosing weapons and throwing die. You built up weapons, skill, stamina as you went along. I was really into them for about six months.

Seen them loads of times, going back to about 1994 and most recently Boxing Day in the Polar Bear (last ever gig before it shut). The line up has changed slightly, but they are excellent at what they do, i.e. pub punk rock. Where are they playing this Sat?

| Mr Baldhead is home tonight, he's been complaining about me watching the game on a Friday night, when it's not even my team playing blardy, blardy, bhah! So I've told him if it upsets him soooo much I won't watch any rugby tonight, & yes it is very unfair of me to watch it every week, when I know he does'nt like it & I'm very sorry. Later when he's feeling sufficiently guilty I will drop the bombshell that I will be watching 2 TV games this weekend & listening to Rovers on the wireless HA!
Clever? Maybe.
Cunning? Definitley.
