In terms of personnel, we are much stronger with better players. The problem is utilising this in order to produce better performances. Under Morgan, we generally played conservative rugby and hoped to capitalise when we had the ball in the oppositions 20, and play a more 'grind it out' type of rugby.

Under Sandercock, our attacking play has opened up and as a result we have scored more points, but we lack the knowledge of when to switch back to a tight game plan (Bradford, Cas etc). In theory all it takes is a leader on the field to get that message across, play basic rugby and kick for territory but instead we insist on brain farts in our own half on the 2nd tackle for example.

Defensively we have been on and off for the last few seasons, the missed tackle stats weigh up against us but some games we seem to be able to defend manfully and its frustrating being unable to do the same the week after.

At the start of the season I thought 6th was a realistic ambition. The same thing keeps happening week after week, and something needs to change/improve or we could be in for a frustrating season

You need to get your forwards fitter and hope Green can add some-thing special or you will struggle for a top 8 spot.

Agreed our fitness is a concern and has been for a while. Still remember when Charnley said our training was too easy.. Every club will have different training methods but should still be a similar level in terms of difficulty and workload. That said, if we could complete some sets and get some territory we might not have to do so much defence thus causing us to be shot well before the games over. And today after Lovegrove went off we were down an interchange but tbh theres no excuse, its just a reflex action to defend Rovers Green will be a massive boost, but he cant fix everything tbh I'm worried Sandy is out of his depth, hopefully he will prove me wrong

Think it is only fair to say well played to Hull they certainly defended very well and in the last quarter showed some quality against what was by then a well beaten Rovers team.

Unlike some I'm not giving up on the season or the coach just yet but clearly we have some improving to do.

Yes, fair play to Hull, they defended very very well, played out their sets and then hit us at the right times.

That last ten minutes we really looked like we couldn't care less, that's a really big worry.

A two hour seething drive down the motorway was actually quite therapeutic!
