You take nothing from a derby game except the points. Emotions run high and players should not need to be motivated, sometimes it means a very poor game other times you get a nail biter to the end and we have had two of those this season.

Rovers finishing the stronger in the last 10 or so has heartened me also.

All the banter before the game is fine but I think it fair to give Hull a bit of praise now for their win.

Hull played with a lot of intensity and really should have won by more.

I guess the only problem from their point of view was the inability to turn dominance into points. It nearly cost them in the end and I think it would have done if Rovers had managed to get a bit more good field position.

But the better team won on the day no doubt, no complaints.

To true HKR fans and fans of rugby , well done for making last nights match a spectacle and a true old fashioned derby match, although I am glad we got the points to be fair it was a match that deserved to be a draw!!
both sides gave everything and HKR certainly didnt let anyone down!!
