It's winning matches that is important Budgie not points for or against. I bet if you compare the points for us and your team in the middle eights there will be very little difference. Where there is a big difference is in the standings we have 10 points you have 4. That is what matters.

We are second you are fifth. We are promoted, you are in danger of relegation.

I'm sure Tim Sheens is very aware of where we need to improve the squad but I'm certain there will not be a big clear out.

Don't know what team we'll put out on Friday but hopefully it will be another win. That would help your cause a little.

The squad of 2017 know they have achieved a remarkable feat and they know the consequences of this. Many are signed on for 2018, some are deliberating over contract offers, and others are currently in limbo. We need to pause here over how we dispose of or down-grade players on this thread. Let’s not follow the trend of wielding the hatchet. Let us admire and praise each and every one; from those with the smallest contribution to the stalwarts of the squad. They deserve our continued support.

I think we need an injection of quality rather than quantity. I think the difference between HKR 2017 and Leigh 2016 is that we are a relatively young squad that will get better. Leigh tended to rely on older experience to get up and I think this coupled with a lack of depth has bitten you on the backside a bit this year.

Don't get me wrong, next year will be tough, but wholesale changes aren't the way to go.

Not a chance, hes retiring as he has broken his arm again, the same arm he has broken twice before and has pins in. Think we got good value out of him in his time here.

I liked Mantellato when he was here.Consistently solid winger and kicking was good although after his last injury I seem to remember he missed a few ones he wouldn't have in the past? Watching this year's superleague it seems good goal kickers are at a premium.Williams at Wigan is costing them a lot of points and after Richards it seems very noticeable. Same with Watkins at Leeds.We have Ellis if he stays? Shaw had a reputation as a good kicker I think? Wins are going to be hard to come by next year and those 2 pointers need slotting
