Update on whats going on.
Turns out that the original design for the east stand extension didnt include any disabled areas. Obviously this was turned down. Rovers then said that they would build 2 more dug out type things at pitch level, this was rejected because it discriminated against the disabled in that it is their human right to be able to have the same atmosphere/experience as able bodied supporters, so the area had to be in the stand. Rovers then said that they would put double the disabled areas in the proposed North stand, this was also rejected.
So the plans were then re-drawn and submitted for Building Regs approval, but the Council Offices were closed for Easter. Predicted to be another month before the site is back open.
The North Stand is due to be awarded to a contractor in early June, with work due to start sometime in July.
