If the reports are true (apparently on RH this morning) and SM is signing for FC then the 'reaction' on Friday won't be pretty.

But he clearly wasn't undervalued when negotiated his 1 year deal at Rovers - he was a virtual unknown at that point but selected a one year term because [uhe[/u believed he was worth more and wanted to make a career of it here. Half a season later he's in the Exiles squad and you've got threads with the majority of Rovers fans extremely keen to retain him. His market value has obviously substantially increased in a competition with few good FBs. FC sound like they are willing to reflect this in a deal. Rovers either don't think he's worth it or can't afford it. Not sure what selectivity I'm applying here TBH.

Like I said there are fans on both sides who don't like players swapping over I like Mcdonnell but am hoping we can replace him,I don't blame the board for not paying masses of amounts of money to get the player to join our club which has happened in the past and we've still got the players to prove it however I agree with giving a player what they're worth.
