| Good performance, the forwards dominated. Best game in a Rovers shirt from Walker.
An injury hit Saints side were poor, why on earth is Brown playing the slug like Wellens at six?
I criticized Graeme Horne heavily when playing centre earlier in the season but he put a great shift in today, as did Josh Hodgson going the full eighty. Alex Brown finished his try very well, took a bit of scoring that, strong upper body strength and backed himself.
Tactically we were very good, Sandercock deserves credit for that.

Yet you could only scrape a draw with them

They were at full strength for that game and on their own patch. let's see how rovers do there later in the season before being too cocky

| I've thought for a while that our middle players have been playing very well and I think we have one of the most underrated packs in the league.
We bullied Hull on Good Friday and we bullied Saints today - even though Paea wasn't quite himself (looked tired) and Tuimavave had to go off injured. Nathan Brown said post match that Saints failed to put Rovers players down 40 times at the play-the-ball which goes to show the physical strength of the players.
Like Sandra said Walker was the pick of the forwards and he really is starting to find some great form - the kid is still only 20 years old as well. He starting to look like a great signing.
I'm also please Beaumont at long last is starting to prove he can cut it at this level and that Cox is finally starting to settle in to the right second-row slot where his 6ft 6" frame can do a lot of damage on the edge.
Our best back was Alex Brown, the lad continues to improve every week and looks like another good signing.
With Tuimavave missing for 4 to 6 weeks with a calf problem we may see James Green make his first appearance of the season next week; another massive homegrown forward at 6ft 7".

Maybe we should have asked the rfl to postpone the game until they had a full strength squad to choose from then

And weren't they just wetting themselves about it!
I still think this 'rubbish' Saints team will finish above both Hull & Rovers this season. Saints will finish the season strong like they usually do although of course they are not a patch on the team of the Tommy Martyn Sean Long days.
Today though Rovers should have won far more comfortably, Saints barely threatened in the 2nd half other than them picking up a loose ball and racing away unopposed.

Why would you do that? Take every advantage you can against the big clubs. You were similarly fortunate with injuries for wire and Hull when you played them

Is that Rovers fault though. We can only play the side in front of us and today I felt we performed okay. Defensively we still had our lapses but I felt the forwards where hungry and made some cracking yards. Beaumont is really stepping up now he's putting a run of games together. Looked very fresh in that second half and was very mobile for a big guy.

| I'm still struggling to understand why Thaler didn't go 'disco inferno' with the shear amount of penaties Saints gave away.
