Johnny Whitely a true gentleman , fine player too. Would be truly embarrased to be mentioned in the same breath as Roger Millward. Just ask him.
Norton? Maybe he went to sleep one time and dreamt he won an Ashes series single handed. If he did he would have woke up and realised it wasn't him it was Millward.
Sterling a wonderful player spent an off season with Hull on loan.
Roger Millward is a once in a lifetime player the equivalent of football's Pele or Maradona. You might have to wait several generations to see the like. |

Nobody can ever dispute what a fine player and man Roger Millward was but to equivalate him as 1 of the 2 best players of all time is stretching it too much.IMO.

The North Stand will be in the top 2 stands in the world when its finished. Better than anything in Brazil or Argentina certainly, maybe not as good as the Bobby Moore Stand at Upton Park.

Is it going to be named anything other than the North Stand. Perhaps the George Fairburn Stand or similar. |
