| Spoke to McNamara at the Allianz the other week, I asked him if was coming and he just smiled and said he wasn't allowed to say anything yet. Personally I'd love to have him at the club, he's a Hull lad with plenty of experience and has built up his NRL contacts. He's also learnt a lot from the brilliant Roosters youth set up.

For me Siebold ticks all the boxes with me, ex Rovers State of origin & NRL assistant coach, coaching experience in the lower UK league, he would do the job.'"
Doesn't bother me one bit about his FC links, there are plenty around that have links to both sides. If he comes in and does well then that's all forgotten, if he's rubbish hes that B&W bstud.

It should, how can you give commitment to something if you have those feelings

| Despite rumours of a move to Wakey, he's staying put. He's also in this weekends squad so let's hope he comes through the fitness test on his back.

Len Casey went the other way, I doubt will we find a stand named after him. Not even gentleman Johny seems to rate that honour with the stadium owners?

It was the KC for a good while though - Casey, KC, geddit?
Bill Jacques, the trainer when Rovers were winning trophies in the twenties, was ex-Hull FC n'all.
On McNamara...
Don't care that he's got Hull connections.
His successors didn't do any better at Bradford and his predecessor in the England job did worse.
He's experienced, and has faced adversity before.
On the downside, he's not massively charismatic (his public face at least). If he gets wins, it won't matter, but until then his appointment won't much inspire the fan base.

Agree 100%, I like the guy & his previous conections don't bother me, I have met & spoken to him a couple of times & he comes across well but is not a photogenic TV presenter, but Rovers are employing him to coach the side not to win Britains got talent.

Arthur Bunting left us to go over to the dark side and became their most successful coach. Let's hope McNamara can do similar for us
