| Don't mean to sound blinkered but I honestly didn't see that one so can't comment. Think it will be a lot clearer on all those challenges watching it back, can be hard to tell properly at the game with one look. Without watching it back though I can guarentee Brough never got hit when kicking the ball

| Just a quick thought tho. Didn't we get rid of Webster (who was well thought of) for an injury that would of kept him out of the then Hull Kr team for a fraction of the time Campese has already been out?!
Just putting it out there, would it be worthwhile 'if' this is another long term injury to our highest paid player to cut our losses and look elsewhere.

| We've lost our half back for Sunday as well so I guess that might help.

We should have done that 8 months ago,I know its his hamstring this time, but he is sure to be targeted by opposing teams like yesterday, and with 2 dodgy knees its a risk we couldn't afford to take imo.

| We paid Webster off as he was half way through the last year on his contract, so I'd imagine it only cost 30-40k. Campese has at least 18 months left at a much higher wage ( depending on who you believe it's anywhere between 100-500k). So paying him off simply isn't an option. He stays or retires, no other option.

It'll cost us a darn sight more if we finish up in the championship mate.Pity he wont do what michael weyman did,its tough on terry but injuries have blighted him the last 3 years, which is why canberra let one of their club legends go.

Pretty sure if we pay him off now his full salary comes off the cap so no point doing it now. Do it close season and it doesn't count on next season.
Might as well get him fit and see if he can get us through the middle 8s

The 2 options aren't mutually exclusive, it's entirely possible to not pay him off and still avoid getting relegated. He's pulled a hamstring, not contracted Ebola.

apart from when he kicked through and got taken out by cockayne, which due to Ta'ai scoring anyway was probably let go by the officials.

| campese won't retire without a hefty payout surely? Do RL clubs insure against player injuries? I seem to remember reading something a while ago that it was too expensive so most don;t bother

Getting insurance for him against injury would be like trying to get a 17 yr old with a drink driving ban insurance for a Ferrari.
