| Feel sorry for Chester but was inevitable. I hope you don't go for Poaching though. Surely you need a new regime with new ideas. I think Francis Cummins will be appointed, for what its worth.

| Question I would have is, having employed Sandercock and then Chester, do the fans have any faith in the current BoD making the right call on Chesters replacement?

I think Peacock would have a major influence on the new appointment. Mind you for your sake I hope he is better at recruiting coach's than players.

| I would say Paul Rowley is favourite he will be relatively cheep he's had some success he's English (don't think hull or rovers want to have there fingers burned again by appointing some untried Aussy) you can not hope to attract a top Aussy coach there on buckets of money and most important Rowley is available cheep no compo to pay to get him out iof a contract, that must suite rovers pocket
Macca will be on a good wage in Aus and working towards a top role in future can not see him chucking that away for a chance to coach ur squad , its got to be Rowley as I think they would of left Chester in charge longer, someone must be close to agreeing to step in soon

Thing is, as much as we see coaches as poor etc, players and owners see things differently. While all the fans at hull wanted rid of Radford, Pearson saw something in him and a few players I have spoken too, also spoke well of him. Maybe this is why Agar keeps getting jobs.
Peacock might see or know more about Cummins to think he would do a good job.
I actually think Harris would be OK, did;t do great at Salford, but it must be hard working under the Dr and he did well in previous roles.

Some people keep mentioning Rowley especially Hull fans it seems but I don't believe he will be the one that Rovers will be looking at.
I know that one or two directors were not particularly happy when Chester was first appointed and preferred looking further afield, unfortunately they were out voted at the time.
I don't think Rovers will make the same mistake by going for another coach based on the fact that he is the cheap option, in fact I would say they cant afford to make the same mistake again.
I would be surprised if the club had not already sounded out one or two options but I doubt that they will make any rush decisions, they may decide to Keep Poching on as caretaker coach until a permanent solution is found but personally I think he is part of the problem.

| Bad news for the rest of the league. I reckon rovers have someone lined up and is it just co-incidence macnamara was here last week? Alternatively, it could be a leeds cast off

| James Webster must be in with a shout. Would Rovers fans be happy with him?

Which coaches have Leeds cast off? I need to place a bet.

| My personal preference would be Steve McNamara he fits the bill as far as the 5 year plan would be concerned (although I am not privy to the plan) i would think that in the plan is to have a head coach that shares the same vision as peacock and co, I just think a ausie coach would be here 2/3 years max if they did well they would be off back to NRL or if they where poor then they would be out the door, I think Steve Mac is now a experienced coach that will have top contact and has been involved in top professional organizations for last 5/6 years

How would that work for hull fc though? He is the coach of the joint academy that wouldn't go down well IMO
