einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |
|
| Quote: Pickering Red "Looking at the weather forecast for Sunday afternoon. Very windy (25 to 30mph) and showery. Factor in the swirl effect off the River and it makes for a more interesting contest.
Wouldn't want Dixon, Shaw or Sio at FB in those predicted conditions, given what's at stake. Cockayne the most experienced FB option for crap East Hull weather, despite his limitations.
Was delighted when I heard Sio was to move to Full Back for this season, but this current car crash calls for a game by game reappraisal, especially given the threadbare nature of our resources and their proven inconsistencies.'"
Its getting desperate now players are getting picked according to the weather

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |
|

So, Rovers have never mentioned said player but have shown great incompetence in not signing someone they have not mentioned they were trying to sign?

Yes. I officially nominate Charlie as our bad weather fullback. Essential if we are to win 30-0 as per your prediction. I thought I would show some solidarity with you, Frankie, and try and shoe horn in an equally absurd post under the radar. Epic Fail.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I actually think that is a consideration.
I still wouldn't select Cockayne though.
CP is a horrible ground to play full back at, the wind swirls all over the place and the modern balls and spiral kicks are seriously challenging to deal with.
Other least favourite grounds are Mount Pleasant and Post Office Road, I remember fielding a kick in the corner at Fev and having two massive props running down the slope at me. Bad times.

I take offence to you calling my post absurd as you haven't got your facts right I never said we would win 30-0 I said we would win by 30pts I was thinking more like 48-18

Sounds to me like your throwing your hat in the ring for Sunday's full back spot

| That guy Cox who came off the bench for Warrington. Where did they pick him up from?. Looked a monster and didn't look out of place. Can we get him on loan.
Looked similar to the guy of the same name who used to play for us, only better.

| Needed a change of club.
He'd burned all his bridges at Rovers and wasn't ever going to happen.
I'm glad to see him resurrect his career, because he always obviously had talent, my take is that is was probably forty per cent the coaching staff's fault and sixty his.

Goose. Right on the money. Let's hope Clarkson, Minns, Thornley and any other of our newbies who might take to the field for us on Sunday get the Cox effect with an uplifted performance.
