| Quote: Dave K. "Of course you would, but the CC semi, will be a big distraction though and I reckon the odds are already against you to get there.
If we win on Wednesday I reckon we will be in, chance to catch Warrington (tough fixtures) and Catalans (only one home game), but you would to win away from Hull.'"
The next week will go a long way to determining whether we get the 8 or not. If we beat Salford then its all on, We go level with wire who have the same cup distractions and a harder run in. Lose this and the following will irrelevant and could all be losses.
Hudds (A) can't see us getting anything from, one game too many against a rested side.
Salford (A) will be a key fixture but one we will focus on.
Derby is a lottery, but home form says we'll be marginal favourites
The last game at Saints could go either way as both teams will be looking to the following week.
All ends up the odds are against us an we've had the worst case of any of the teams that have to make a game up.
Hull and Wakey will be in the same boat come the 2nd game next weekend whereas we play Salford who have had a week off and Hudds who will have had 2 off.
Seriously uneven playing field and one I hope they address next year.

| What about Venue?
I reckon Doncaster, as it would just be about right capacity wise.
Hudds is too big IMO (Shouldn't have had ours there 2 years ago), maybe Leeds, but the RFL seem to like to use the shiny stadiums.

Warrington to Donny on a Friday night would seriously hit their numbers I reckon. It's just another semi to them so I can see 5k max from Wire, whereas we should top 7/8k easy given the long time between drinks for Rovers

I think our numbers will be pretty high I've had at least 15 people that are a mixture of non RL folk or part time supporters (once a season maybe on a free ticket) ask me what plans are and can they tag along more the merrier for me, and after a few sherbets they can start claiming to be huge fans that was part of the 1500 national league supporters

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |

| Funny that I've had a few of my mates who haven't been for a few years asking what we doing for the semi at least we go into this one with a chance of winning unlike saints in 2006

I probably agree Des, although it would be a disaster for any club to not get promoted back to SL, would really set a club back a couple of years.
Recruitment will also be harder as players might not sign or choose other clubs rather than a middle 8 club.

| Tomorrow's game will be huge in the context of our top 8 ambitions with us resting a few and Salford having more or less a fresh squad to pick from plus the Tim sheens affect it could be a hard game for us

| If I had a choice, I'd certainly take reaching the final of the cc over top 8. It takes a fair old leap of imagination to see us beating Leeds or Saints in a final. But even slim chances of silverware come around infrequently for those outside the handful of perennial trophy winners.
8th would be a relief, but hardly a shot at glory. And Rovers would most likely still be in SL for 2016 - though the risk is bigger than most people think, imo.

Going off if buts and maybe's but could you imagine having a challenge cup final chucked in amongst fighting for our survival in super league? I think we need to reach top 8 because if we don't and we do beat warrington it's going to make the final a whole lot harder

I don't think their is much danger of KR going down even if we finish in the bottom 4.

Me neither, I reckon if it stays as it is, you and Salford will comfy finish top 2, widnes will be ok also if they keep Brown fit.
