Very good news for Rovers. Hudgell was very clear he wouldn't continue on for Rovers to remain at the same level, so looks like a pretty hefty commitment from the new investors to deliver on his ambition to be the best in the competition.

Looks like a bit of a non story with others stepping in to support the losses with hudge and crossland next year but no guarantees beyond that. Presumably paea will be looking for an out if they can only guarantee a 12 month contract?

As I said on Thursday (only to be quickly shot down) investment has been found and an announcement was possibly imminent.

My source has already given me a tongue lashing so I had better not reveal any more; except to say it is a substantial amount albeit, as NH alludes in the HDM, a short-term fix.

Lets hope this good news filters onto the pitch and sees Rovers pulling off the shock of the round.

It's not me speculating at all. The quotes in the wail say you'll go around again for 12 months in SL but no guarantees beyond that. Will paea sign a 12 month deal with rovers or a 3 or 4 year one with leeds, wire, saints, Salford, catalan or wigan? Tough choice I'd guess.

This is the same story we had last year when hudge threatened to pull out then agreed to support the losses for 12 months.

FWIW, I hope you do get a longer term solution but hope it isn't some koukash type who will get bored in a couple of years and leave Salford in the lurch
