It is our unusual name that sticks in peoples minds because when i was young and used to watch rugby special on a sunday afternoon i had no idea who were the top RU sides all i remember is that Leicester had letters on there backs instead of numbers and there was a team called Preston Grasshoppers

3.6 million people perhaps questioned who Hull Kingston Rovers were before deciding it wasn't even worth Googling. |

A small percentage would have thought "Oh, the Super League team" and then instantly forgot about it. Some would have thought "Hull Kingston Rovers? Didn't they used to play rugby league?" and the majority probably hadn't a clue what he was on about.
Anyway Super League teams get mentoned frequently on national radio sports news and occasionally on national TV sports news so whats the big deal? |
