This just great, not only do you guys rate any youngster that breaks into your first team as a 'future international' but now we have Lineham who has played how many games in SL? And is been labelled as 'potential world class', the next WBW! Get a grip!!!

| The rugby fans in Hull are as guilty as each other about over egging their opinions and I suppose it’s what makes the banter so entertaining (at times).
We big up players ability (Craig Hall!!!) and our potential to challenge and win the cup (usually an anniversary of 1980). Hull always start every year as ‘The new dawn / the giant awakes’ only to get to May and postpone said new dawn til next year and the giant has pressed snooze.
The half back debate is an interesting one, I do think Dobbo is certainly one of the better half backs, but he does look better in our team as he has to carry it. We rely on attack and Dobbo is central to it. Burns will no doubt take some of that on and has looked ok so far but I still thought we went to Dobbo far too much on Saturday. Dobbo’s game management still has some way to go for me and it’s this that ultimately stops him being the best in SL.
Are their better pairings?
McGuire / Burrow (when he plays 7) is better.
Brough / Robinson is a very different one but in a better team. As a side how badly done to is DB to be overlooked for England yet again, far far better than Chase.
Dureau / Bosc very similar to ours, will be interesting to see how SD gets on.
Myler / Briers. Briers makes Myler a better player, without him Myler is average
In an FC v KR context Hull have a good team with no HB’s, we have good HB’s in an average team outcome being we will be really entertaining but still lose a lot of games, FC will grind out wins, not pretty but effective and neither will win anything til they sort out the short comings and they will be pretty evenly matched. Makes for good banter I suppose and the nearest either of us will get to any satisfaction is if we beat each other.

| Dobson and Burns in the Wigan or Warrington sides would make them stronger IMO. Dobson on his own I personally think there are better 7's in the league and Burns on his own there are probably better 6's. Together though I don't see many if any being better suited to one another. In some ways I think Dobson/Burns is a step up from Dobson/Green and I really rated that partnership!

Massive statement to make when considering how many titles Leeds have won recently, personally surprised Sinfield wasnt paired with McGuire, and also Warringtons recent record in the CC. Bold - definitely, stupid - possibly, we shall see but my monies on the later!!!

| I think Green's ability with ball in hand complimented Dobson very well. As I don't see much NRL, I'm not too familiar with Burns' game and how it will work alongside the organisational skills of Burns.
The early signs are good, however.

Bit of a silly post really, just because Leeds have won x titles and Warrington have won the CC a couple of times doesn't mean their HBs are better (not saying they're not BTW). The balance of their sides is better, the team as a whole is miles better.
If London signed Thurston and an in his prime Lockyer as 6 and 7 but kept the same pack and backs they wouldn;t win the GF.

This.
I hate Robinson with a passion normally reserved only for those in B&W, but I also recognise that him & Brough are working very effectively.

| What's your beef with Robinson?
Brough is real class for me, great kicking game and has added more to his running in the last few seasons.

He's just an arrogant little prat with a pan-face and a really stupid "fan club". A few years ago during one particular beasting we have now got used to, I remember him scoring at the 'Pharm in front of the away fans and doing that footballer thing of turning his back to us and pointing to his name on the shirt with both hands. Proper grated on me.
Basically, I have an irrational dis-like of the bloke. As fans, it's allowed and encouraged in certain circles.

Oh I'm not saying it should be any other way, I was just curious.
Basically I avoid this angst by thinking that everyone is an idiot and a complete bell end and then being presently surprised when they're not.

So you dont think putting Sinfield alongside Dobson would improve your team, the worlds number 1 player and all that? Personally cant stand Sinfield but dont doubt his ability to drag Leeds out the mire as he does so very often. (For what its worth I'd have him at Hull any day of the week and twice on a Friday) The halves are the heartbeat of the team and have a massive influence on a teams performance and balance, so in answer to your second question, London with Thurston and Lockyer at the helm would be well up their challenging for honours though probably not winning things.

Also, barham red didn't ask a question, nevermind two questions. So, what second question are you answering?
