You inherited 5,000 fans overnight by moving to the KC.
Didn't the council also buy the overpriced Boulevard land for the same amount of debt you were in at the time?'"
We didn't inherit any fans, merely brought back some of the missing ones.
We played our part in a major regeneration project in West Hull and allowed the council to buy our old stadium from us.

Sounds like what we are trying to do.

Not panicking, is he? His ingratitude seems impudently audacious otherwise.'"
How hypocritical of the FC fans, they have a go at us for biting the hand that feeds yet its ok for them to have a go at Mr Allam even tho he allows them to play in his stadium..
On topic tho', I don't think anyone knows the full ins and outs of the contracts (I know some think they do). Regardless of who's paying what it is still our ground and as such the chairman will want to see that the works that have been agreed are carried out correctly and are open on time. If as has been stated it also costing the club more than was agreed he also has a right to annoyed.
I'm assuming wheels will have been in motion to use the corporate facilities and marketing of these will have taken place, if these are not as planned then again this will undermine any of the marketing done so far.
I know its always nice for the FC lot to have a dig at NH but maybe he's just doing his job and vocalising his displeasure, lets be honest if the boot was on the other foot and FC where getting charged extra costs for things they would expect their chairman to speak up.

Strange because the last chairperson you had who did that was roundly lambasted for not caring about the fan base.

| Does anyone really care about the colour of the cladding? Wasnt even aware of the colour until it was brought up. Couldnt care less if it was black and white.

| I think the underlying concern here is that it shouldn't be costing the club anything until it is complete and operational. NH states it has cost you 750k this year - that sounds like there has been a lot of pre-selling of the facility that has been built into your income costings for this season.
A stand that would be operational (if completed on time) for the final 8 weeks of the season cant really generate nearly £100k a week can it?
Reading the posts on this, it states it will be ready for Sept 9th - a 1 month delay and I realise that is after the last scheduled regular fixtures.
NH's outburst does suggest that the club needs the 750k and without it there could be more serious issues.

| As I mentioned on our board I felt sorry for Rovers but then Hudge had to bring us into it and its got nothing to do with us.
The council helps both clubs out, as mentioned by them Rovers wouldn't have the stand without their help, they also mentioned help with your new pitch, its extraordinary churlish for Hudge to now complain and bring us into it.
And what's the point of resigning from the project team, complete dummy spit, surely its better to work within the team to put things right.
I'm guessing a no win, no fee law suit is on the horizon, talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

1 game on a Sunday afternoon, 1 on a Monday night, so we would require the floodlighting in place.

| The last time Hudgell got a strop on about the North Stand was when there was yet another delay to the project starting. Big HDM story, all doom & gloom but hey presto shortly after everyone is pulling together, the problems solved and the project underway.
This latest Hudgell outburst is clearly designed to have a similar effect.
I've got a tin of red paint in the garage if they need it for the cladding.

| A lot to process, so this will be a bit scattergun.
The cladding - not too fussed. The other stands are/were mainly grey. The only issue is that it might look odd with the landmark red towers, or if they're blue too now, 'to match the sky', then you're effectively camouflaging your landmark.
4 toilets (surely not, though if they've forgotten the turnstiles, who knows?) or 4 sets of toilets?
He's made some effort to distinguish between the political support and practical delivery. I do agree about to some extent with Steve_Norton about dragging in the wider political setting and Hull FC. Certainly a double-edged sword. On the other hand if, (and it must be a massive if), stuff on here in any way shapes wider perceptions, I can't blame him for offering 'balance'. The word 'commercial' needs adding to the swear filter. Even if recent statements from the KC SMC are accurate, there is no ongoing subsidy of Hull FC by the council - if there there is a tab, it is the SMC/Allams who are picking it up.
I do feel a bit for the council, who have now seen two well intentioned stadium projects turn politically toxic in two weeks. It leaves them in invidious positions. I'd likely be significantly less sympathetic if it was me having to find additional money on that sort of scale, obviously.

Come on Coddy if the clause that most believes is there is true then he has little choice on the matter.
