| I think Mika is starting to get a reputation that is totally unwarranted IMO (as far as this year goes anyway).
He was excellent in the friendlies against Wigan where he put in some murderous tackles and was really solid defensively and against Hull where he put in more big shots, was solid defensively and gave us very good go forward.
Last week he was our second highest tackler behind Josh Hodgson and I don't recall him missing a tackle. It's fair to say he appeared slow getting back after finishing his tackles last week but I heard he was still suffering from his groin injury which must have affected him.
His knock-on just before he went off was not his fault either. It was Withers' fault because he threw the pass at Mika's shoulder.
If any of you have hullkr.tv take a bit time to watch the first half against Catalans and I think you'll acknowledge that he didn't play badly at all because you see things a bit more for what they are rather than dealing with the tension and emotion of watching it live.

| hall was training with dobson today so i think he might be at stand off and latus was catching bombs off dobson so i guess he might be full back as eden wont be risked although he was doing sprints so should be back next week

| Not as comfy as the scoreline suggests, we really had to work for that win, especially in the second half. Some absolute brutal hits been put in by both teams. Just one question though: Since when did Michael Dobson beome Australia's Kevin Sinfield (not for his playing, but for constant beefing towards the ref)?

I would be disappointed with him if he didn't, especially since seeing the playback this morning and the amount of 50-50 decisions that went against us, he is the skipper and has every right to query a decision.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Well, apparently he doesn't seeing as Ganson took us back a further ten when Dobson asked for an explanation for one of his mystifying penalty decisions, despite the fact that as the captain of the team he's perfectly entitled to ask for clarification.

Have to agree about the 50/50 decisions, we definitely got the rub of the green last night, certainly in the first half, but this is a direct reversal of last week, when we got absolutely none whatsoever against the Dulls, but that's sport for you I guess....it is a long season, and you will get your share.
Whilst I agree that Dobson as captain is entitled to query the ref's decision, he obviously went about it in the wrong manner (ala Sinfield), so the ref duly penalised him. I'm sure he will rephrase his query next time !!

Its not what you say its how you say it, if Dobson hasn't worked out Ganson yet then he never will.
For what its worth i think we did get a few calls that favoured us.

| Ganson clearly had had enough of Dobson's constant questioning and in the end general whining. I only wish more referees would do this - esp against Leeds, as the poster implies. As captain, by all means approach the referee to ask for clarification but do so in the right manner.

| Apart from the fact that he got in Gansons ear a little too often, he was your best player by some distance and Wakefield truggled to cope with him.
It's no coincidence that we scored most of our points in the first half when he was in the bin.

| I actually thought the pantomime horse was a really rubbish part of the official entertainment.
On reflection, I'll change my mind about Dobson, it is incredibly annoying when a player is constantly chirping in the referee's ear.

| I think it was just frustration that we werent getting any of the 50-50s and you could tell Dobbo was just getting more annoyed as each one was given. But with any ref, Ganson in particular whining and getting at him constantly wont help and actually reduces the chance of your team getting any decisions. His first season as captain he will soon learn.

Without question (and for once) we certainly got the rob of the green on a few occasions, the common misnomer that the captain can question the referees decisions needs quashing.
No he can't!!
I just wish someone would remind this "fortunate" enough to be refereeing Cas, Wigan and one or two more.
A tight game that could have easily gone your way, but two points I'll gladly take after our trip to Odsal last week.
KR home and away are games I look forward to each season as you are all true RL fans and add colour to what can be sometimes a sterile game. Long may in continue!!
